I was too old for the show but I started watching it ironically and then ended up loving it lol. Kelsey just doesn’t know anything 😆

Fwiw I’m exactly Kelsey’s age, love Miley Cyrus as a singer now, but Hannah Montana was out and popular when we were 16-20 so way too old to admire her or be interested in a Disney show like that tbh. Not bc I was cool or anything btw. I see a couple other replies from former edgy high schoolers but that had nothing to do with it I was a band nerd. Reality is, these kinds of shows and tropes appeal to middle schoolers. So I Carly, wizards and Hannah Montana all hit when sophomores and upperclassmen were already moving onto things like Greys or 30 rock or the wire or whatever.

Yeah, you just have to hide or alter whatever your more prominent features are, for Zooey her eyebrows are quite identifying and her forehead is strong, the bangs hide both, and also frame her face differently, along with the glasses that's why I love changing my eyebrows and hair n stuff like who even am I ha ha you feel

When I found out that Miley liked Drag when she appeared on ‘Drag Race’, I understood the cultural significance and queer subtext of the show even more. I wish I watched more of it because it was the ultimate show for teens and tweens.

Miley is not playing the superbowl because a lot of middle America just knows her as the Disney kid that "went wild." Rather than seeing a girl grow up and an artist transform, they see her as a cautionary tale for weed. There would be a Dylan Mulvaney level tantrum if she was announced to play the superbowl.

I took my niece to see this movie the day it came out, it was one of the best little auntie/niece hangs ever. The only downside was that during the literal moment she reveals to the whole town that she's actually Miley Stewart, my niece needed to pee, so we missed part of it.

I had a Hannah Montana themed birthday party when I turned 10 because that's when the movie came out in theaters. Me and like 5 of my girlfriends went and saw the movie in theaters and then went to my house and we had a Hannah Montana dress up party. My mom had hired a lady to bring in a bunch of child sized sparkly Disney Channel type clothes and Hannah wigs, and we all had a blast performing as her to all our parents. I can't believe Kelsey, my literal savior, has never seen HM before?!?!?!

Never comment, but this is an ingrained memory: Got tickets to see the HM movie in theaters with my best friend at the time & her mom who had to drive us. We were already running late because of a drop-off situation with her sister and the mom drove TO THE WRONG THEATER. So by the time we got to the right one, it was the scene where she sees Lucas and we had no context until it came out on dvd/cable.
