Back in 2004 I put a deposit on the potential Z06. Finally in 2006 I got one of the first C6Z06's in California. Now my C8 is due in November. I feel you pain in waiting. I also put a deposit on the C8 Z06 and see what happens.

Listen man, I've been watching your videos for a long time now, back when you first got your c7 and you provide the best content. I remember the time when you sold your c7 and i would periodically check to see of any updates on your order for the c8, its been several months since i checked out your videos and for some reason today i decided to look up some c8 videos and boom i saw this and read the title and i have to say i am so proud and happy as a viewer to see this. It was a long time coming but congratulations brother. I hope i get mines one day.

I've walked in your shoes. I ordered mine back on Sept. 23rd and it finally came on June 26th. Buddy of mine who ordered the week before me, and we were trying to go through this together, bailed out as soon as the plant shut down due to Covid. I was pretty pissed and he didn't even give me a warning shot. Had he waited he would have had his car as they both came on the truck together. Anyway, I'm glad I've got mine and love the car. 6wks of ownership I've managed to get the full front Xpel protected, window tint, ceramic coated, wheels being made and should arrive soon and just cracked the 500 mile break-in period and what a difference. Enjoy the ride and find new roads.

4 Years! Absolutely amazing. The go around with the vid is quite awesome because there is a great effort at making excellent composition. The time that was put it on selecting the exterior options clearly was a great bit of work. Black wheels look great with all the black accents. The Torch Red roof and matching red wing seem to look just right. Every time I see the car without the center racing stripes, it just looks so clean. It gleams. Even in this presentation one can hear in your voice some of the stress still there and yet the relief you mention. It will likely take a few drives to completely let that tension out. The car is so awesome, though, that the tension should soon go away and give way to your enjoyment of the drive. How do I know? I really don't. I ordered and then relinquished a C8 Vert. I hadn't heard about the Corvette being a mid-engine beast until around September 2019. I started looking for content and found it. And while I was not on the Net, 24/7, finding out about the car, at times it felt like it. The diligence came together 04/12/2020, when looking for absurdly priced new and used C8's on the Net resulted in a day that I thought I'd never see: 17 or 18 brand new C8's on the Net for sale, first come first served. At first, I was elated and went over the cars too quickly; I reversed field to go over them again and fell asleep on my key board. Next morning I woke up kind of early (for me); found the Corvettes again including an on line feature that allowed me to start at Corvette C8 number 1 at the left and work my way to the right. One by one I looked and did not like the combo.of options (configuration). Second to the last car and I see that my second closest dealer, Rydell Chevrolet had a white or light gray looking car. I jumped into my Porsche and drove from Simi Valley in Ventura County to Northridge in Los Angeles County. The first contact with Rydell, a lovely female voice informed me to park in front or west side and walk the few required steps to the middle of the showroom (locked up and dark) approximately in the middle of where a new Pick up truck was parked. I might have to wedge myself between the truck and the showroom window.. Turned out, there was a little more space and I laid eyes on the sweeping lines of a Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic C8 with body color accents and a black high wing spoiler with two carbon flash racing stripes down the middle of the car, full length. Carbon and body color roof; carbon flash black painted mirrors; Z51 black brakes and Trident gray painted wheels, machine faced. I left the location and headed own while on my hands free cell phone calling the dealership again. She answered and contacted the sales manager who put me in touch with a salesman who asked me to drive to the nearby incorporated City of San Fernando in about 45 mintues, which I did. I arrived in my Porsche, parked, immediately found the Corvette and the salesman who tried to give me the whole experience of showing me the car with our Covid-19 masks on. Excited beyond belief, I said, "Forget the tour please! Let's get to the paperwork." That work took until 10 PM and I then drove home in the Porsche. A completely different experience than C, C, and T. The car went back to the dealership as the surprise on top of the surprise was that the salesman told me there was a 5VM ground effects kit in the parts department. "Do you want it?" Does Taco Bell sell burritos? My cousin brought me to the Dodge dealer; then to the Northridge dealer, where we saw the car receive the finishing touches of the 5VM carbon fiber ground effects kit. Then my cousin drove me once again to the dealer in San Fernando the sister Dodge dealer of Rydell Chevy. A little paperwork, a little instruction a few strange photos and the key and the car were mine. I drove it about 9 or 10 miles to the house and into the garage. And that was the beginning of how I got my C8. So totally different, it was my first GM vehicle ever and first Corvette ever. One of these days, I'll stop commenting on the C8 and open my own vlog. That way the star of the show can be seen as it should be. AF

I remember the feeling of traveling to Alabama to pickup my 2SS in 2016 on a dealer trade with my dealer Stokes Trainor in Newberry, being 1 of only 3 2SS's on the east coast with every option I wanted. I can only imagine your feeling of cloud9 when you saw the light at the end of the tunnel for this VERY long journey! I'll look for you at the Cars and Coffee events in the Upstate!
