Thank you to mediacorp for this fantastic show that teach us bout singapore past. Very educational and feels like watching indiana jones singapore style. There are many more bunkers in Sembawang, Mount Faber that have been sealed. These are military structures designed to sustain direct artillery fire and won't be collapsing anytime soon. I never understood why such places are closed down instead of opening them up for the public to enjoy and for tourism like what Vietnam has done for select sites. The medieval equivalent, castles are open to the public in Europe and Japan to great success. But I guess the Singapore government would rather waste billions of dollars building useless tourist traps like Gardens by the Bay instead of leveraging existing structures.
