Big Tron fan. Definitely an under-appreciated franchise. I would love to see Tron 3 The Search for Flynn. I would also love to see a return to the digital frontier after months or even years of User Absence. No Clu, no Flynns, maybe Tron survived? But basically the Grid would have gone through the digital Dark Ages (or not!). So much storytelling potential still alive! Go find Flynn!!!!

I hadn’t considered the possibility of him surviving via the flash drive to an extent. I like that angle. Still wish we were getting the sequel with Cillian Murphy ,the MCP and RAM like was teased after TRON Legacy. Instead they seem to be ignoring that for the Jared Leto Tron Movie

Yup, it's just been one disappointment after another. And Bruce Boxleitner has gone on record that he will not be doing anything TRON-related anymore. And I don't know how Jeff Bridges is doing with his cancer treatment. Disney only cares about those franchises that make the biggest profit like the MCU.

@@sidearmsalpha They were ahead of thier time and talked about things the science community didn't want people to understand.When I was younger I didn't realise that movies are story teller for actual story that happend and I feel like tron was tryign to expose something bigger then humans and goverment ;via the alien gods that existed beyond the programs and users but were beings of the "in between"

This was really good 👍 You have GOT to do Dark Star "How do I know that the information from my senses is correct?"& Galaxy Quest "Never Give Up!" "Never Surrender!" God you would think that masterpiece was worth a sequel I'm sure Alexander Dane would say "The show must go on".

I very much enjoyed the video! It's wonderful to see the stories all pieced into a concise timeline. As for Flynn... Since Legacy, I saw Flynns' reintegration kind of the ultimate goal of the NPC's religion, becoming one with a user. So, I can see Flynn returning but as something very new and different.

“Flynn, Go!” - Tron - as he falls into the Sea, presumably dead. Hoping for a 3rd with Tron & Flynn returning from the “dead”. Highly recommend Tron Uprising as it details/ties together what happened between Tron & Tron: Legacy pretty well. Really wish we got a 2nd season of it as well.

TRON heralded the coming of the Internet, it was a movie about 'dealing' with Computers and Programs before we had them.. in a Conceptual and Aspirational way.. a symbol of hope on a New Frontier.. not unlike Star Trek was for Astronomy and Space Travel to the Moon in the 70's. Eventually the Internet arrived.. and we're still dealing with it.. occasionally escaping from it.. not unlike Flynn returning to the real world. But its an ongoing battle.. hurtling towards whatever the Unification of the Quantum World and the Relativi..

If time passes 50 times slower in The Grid than in the real world, then Flynn's 20 years missing in the real world was 1000 years to him in The Grid...imagine being alive that long, waiting for a way to get out...

honestly the one thing I want from Tron is a second season of uprising. it had one of the best art styles, it was filled with all sorts of fun lore and stuff. Just s generally good show, which I'm sad never got renewed

as a huge tron fan i have tron 2.0 the game it has a ton of clues inside the antiquated systems at encom about the legacy program and ma3a also like nori i do believe flynn still lives he is a very smart genius he would have a backup someway and somehow i cant wait til the sequel comes out project ares there are huge refs in no man sky for the whole tron saga in itself and funny thing about 2.0 jet bradley was so much like flynn and sam flynn was so much like alan bradley the next gen mirroring the last generation if you havent you gotta play 2.0 it is on steam it is so much worth it and thank you for posting this i do feel kevin flynn is still there somewherehe played the long game and that feeling deep down he has a backup somewhere hidden

@CEM _CJ if he didnt why the Heck was it ever made and many refs to it from legacy as well they need to get their bleep together and i go by the story and it is truly revelent and for me it is mroe canon than the uprising series that was quite not on par bur still watchable.

After reintegration, it was amazing to see what was supposed to be empty memory locations except for the basic underlying programs that still exist. Obviously everything that CLU had created was gone and the small amount Kevin Flynn had created as well.

Did Flynn age as he would have if his body were in the real world but his mind in the grid? If so he experienced a length of life that seems almost godly, imagine what he might have learned and accomplished...

The ISOs are such a relevant notion to the modern concept of AI, I think there is a lot they can do with that now, even though Tron and Master Control still serve as the older AI model. I think it’s time to move on from Flynn. He has gone from hacker to father to god of this realm and faced his nemesis and recognized him as an extension of himself. His arc is pretty complete. We could see more Tron but both Bruce B and Jeff B are getting up there in age. The great thing about the Tronverse though is it meshes perfectly with the dealing tech because we don’t expect the online versions to be perfect human models. Still it’s likely time to focus on new younger characters who can extend the Tron verse.

Kevin Flynn is the god of the Grid. He can create new programs and build a city,Flynn also founded the Iso race and find them as the key to a perfect system. He also have the power of a User. To me i like to think that the Users are gods of the grid. I like to see Sam having those powers and i wonder besides the flynns who else could possess those types of powers? Like maybe Bradley,Dillinger..Its an interesting concept indeed but who knows i do hope to see the third Tron movie soon

Great video! And yes I’m having a suitably nerdy day, aided by your vids as always. I’d love to see a 3rd Tron film, I think the franchise has got plenty of legs in it still. The second Tron film was great in my opinion, true to the first, but independent also with GREAT music and awesome action.

Flynn was the system... as such if “the system survived” the fusion between Flynn and CLU, then by all means it’s logical to assume Flynn still exists. Not only that but what he gave CLU, what he was not... the perfectionist, the brave one, the fighter... that too has become one with Flynn, and with the system. It’s so basic, and I hope this would be included in future projects of the franchise. For me the music killed it: D Punk is close enough to what Wendy Carlos achieve back in the 1980’s, back then her music was the movie itself... it was the heart of the fight for freedom. Slaves and Gladiators fighting to survive and be free. That was Carlos’ Troy Scherzo Electronic music as comercial as those night club nobodies was not up to par, sadly... it could have been

What I want to know is how proving that one person took credit for his work suddenly leads to him being CEO. Seriously, how the heck does that happen? And then sometime between the end of tron 1 qnd the start of 2 he takes ownership of the company? They glossed over some pretty big stuff there.

Make him the new iso. Kind of like in man of steel where his dad can take form in imagery with computer system upload of his likeness he can only go so far for new systems are encrypted. He has to be in it. I’m sure he filmed lines long ago or read in front of camera for recognition. Or put some make up on me and Flynn lives . Walking on cal tech campus tomorrow

I'd like to see some crossover story into the real world. We have only gone one-way - into the gameworld and no sign on any reverse. Skynet was able to manipulate the real world from its sentient AI with a fatal consequence (excluding time travel). With the time delay in the Tron world, time also moves at a different pace that could be included

You know, they never really showed what happens to a User when they die in The Grid, let alone the Creator of the Grid Kevin Flynn...I think he coalesced into some kind of "Force Ghost" type entity and roams The Grid in a Zen state...
