Whenever I see or hear about Maradona... it's hard not to think of my childhood. I mean, every kid from my neighborhood wanted to be him, Maradona was my football hero. What a player this man was. R.I.P Diego.

Opponent national teams are lucky he turned drug addict. With what he did in 86,, without drugs he would be winning 90 and 94 WC. That good he was. Not even a single guy touched the ball is close. The ball loved him and he loved the ball

I'm English but even that I admit the greatest seen George best .gazza in his pomp beckenbauer. Late end of pele .messi .Ronaldo R9. Ronaldo cr7 . .rivaldo . Platini. Gullit . But when DAM 10 was at his peak no one could get near him explosive ball glued to his foot . The guy was that good wouldnt leave prints in the snow . For me and many the goat . And what could of been . To even say that shows how good he was .gave his opponent's massive advantage cus of his addictions . RIP .

Excellent Documentary on the flawed genius if had the protection that Messi and Ronaldo outside of the pitch he would have had a better life and would have been a better person aswell no drugs no mafia no Fidel Castro etc, Diego wanted to leave Naples but the president wouldn't let him damn that is when Diego died and Maradona took over imo

It's quite messy because I only just learned about Maradona thinking about Argentina's run in the 2022 World Cup. To give more of an idea about his greatness and his heartbreaking downfall, a 2018 article in the Metro newspaper in the UK mentions a quote where he says that he was essentially nerfing himself with drugs. "In 2014 he told Argentina’s Tyc Sports: ‘I gave my opponents a big advantage due to my illness. Do you know the player I could have been if I hadn’t taken drugs?’." -The Metro, 2018 Today, with everything being on the Internet and social media, Messi and Ronaldo and all who came thereafter have more of a reason to do right by themselves and their fans.

Too much for one man to handle a very talented man but still a man he tried a bit of coke in 1983 but it got really bad in Naples when he hooked up with the mafia he wanted to leave Naples to get away from all the bullshit but the president wouldn't let him thats when Diego died imo and Maradona took over
