The game is just set as a series of one shots. There are also quests that I had not mentioned before. That said I can't see any reason why you couldn't carry loot over, other than it would make the game faster as there is not need to ramp up. There also might be a variant in BGG but dont quote me on that!

Hi Skinnyjean, The game is really designed to be a one-off dungeon crawler experience but saying that Russ the co-designer is working on a levelling up system which we'll post here when ready on BGG.

No where does is say what to do with a trap tile after the damage has been dealt. Common sense says it's discarded. A pedantic rule lawyer would say it stay on the tile for the next person to step there. In my third game, (we don't mention the first two, stupid monks,) the lone (solo) dwarf defeated a monster on the M9 tile and drew a trap. Ouch. Oh well, and off he went leaving the trap tile there. Upon laying the final dungeon tile the ring appeared. I give you one guess where. Right! and with a goblin guarding it! (Just to piss me off!) So I ran in, ouch, ouch, ouch (trap), grab the ring, ran out, ouch, (let the goblin have its minor victory.) The rules to not say I have to defeat the monster guarding the ring. Only say defeat a monster with 6 or more health to draw a new item. You can switch, drop, or pick up and item, even during combat. A ring is an item, the McGuffin in this game, but still an item. The rules don't say it is not. Okay then, a trip across the dungeon to the healing pool then back to face the dragon! (Good thing the dwarf had Magic Boots on.) Okay, here's the plan: 1. Hit Big Red with the Flying Daggers, 2. Switch to Great Axe, 3. Use boots to move to M12, 4. Fight!, 5. Collect two items, (does the dragon drop two item?...she has 10 or more health...doesn't matter), 6. Go to Wasted Wizards Inn and drink!!! Right, Magic Armor on, Health Poition ready, Full AP... Base attack (2d6+2) plus axe (+3) plus special ability (+1) is 2d6+6 vs 4d+0, average score 13 vs 14. This will be long drawn out, and very close fight. ...Let's do this. Cast the spell and ready the axe and the Dice roll a 6 and a ... 6, YES! Wait...What? That doubles...24 point of answer damages...I just one-shot a freaking dragon !?! With daggers?!? That can be right. Rule 5.4 Critical Hit: _If all your dice roll are identical (e.g. two 6s, three 4s) you score a critical hit. Double your score, and add modifiers. _*_Monsters cannot score critical hits._* Rule 11 Spells and Potions: _... LoS, ...remove from game, ..._ Rule 10 Ranged Combat: _...LoS, ...count the range, ...Spend AP, ...yadda, yadda, yadda._ Conclusion, crits only happen in melee combat, BUT THEY DON'T SAY THAT! ARRRGH! TL;DR: The rules are open to interpretation with a lot of loophole that need to be patched. Still a fun game. P.S. I took the 12 points, got her down to 6 HP, but not before I was at 4. Took the potion +5 HP, she hit me for 4 (5 HP left), I whittled her down to 1 HP, me to 2. Finally, last roll. 15 to her 17, 2 point to me, armour saves me, again. okay, one more roll, oh good, she dead. Off the the inn, but not to the bar, to bed... P.P.S. I Really, Really Like This Game!

@@HungryGamerReviews: I see what Tim Sharville, (aka gunpowder) the designer, did. He made a game for gamers like himself. Thinking like a gamer, he is taking things for granted, like item have to be in the correct slot to be used. However, he never even mention "equipping." A fundamental concept in any fantasy game. I can see he meant to have that concept, however... By the book, one could have a sword in one hand, a small axe it the other, the great axe in one free slot and a shield in the other free slot and armour in the armour slot, and ALL the item's bonuses would be counted! He needs to think like a rules lawyer when writing the rules. As long as you see what he is trying to do and use common sense, the game works. (But, I know my friends....) Also, I stand corrected: Rule 7, right in the middle of the paragraph, in bold type, it says adventurers can pick up items if the tile is free of monsters. (I should have defeated the goblin.) In my defense, it was my third game and first where I got past the first encounter with a monster. (I wasn't laying the tile correctly.)

Well. It's not a full on crawl. It's pretty light, meant to be a single under an hour dungeon adventure. So if it was supposed to be a full on crawl then yes it would need more, but for what it is, I think it's alright
