There is a interesting thing i saw spiffingbrit mention about these games. the thing is, nobody actually buys them for the "gameplay" or value of it. how these marketplaces actually work is that you sell them, and people then buy them to then sell it again at a higher value. the whole thing is a type of flipping that relys on other people wanting to sell the item at a higher value before it gets too high and people no longer want to sell it. estensially creating a market crash.

Like the other comments do say, cookie clicker is a drastically different game than what these games are. cookie clicker is a free browser game that asks you to continually increase your cookies and spend those cookies on increasing your number of cookies. from going to grandma to (what i remember) cultist methods, with pretty graphics and funny stuff, that is all the game is. Banana and cat is a free steam game that doesnt have any of your spending to increase clicks or uses, and, on occassion when you click. will drop an item. the gameplay isnt about there, but rather in the items that you can use to make a profit through selling your item to a buyer who wishes to sell it again at a higher value. the entire game idea is potentially illegal through the dev inflating the market deliberately and other things beside that.
