When you get a bacterial infection, the immune response needs to be very rapid. But it can take hours to sense a threat, and generating effector proteins in response takes time. Luckily, we all have large protein complexes called inflammasomes that can also initiate inflammation. What are these made of? What types exist? How do they function? Let's get a closer look?

This is so trivial and yet I imagine that it’s cumulative for decades of research and thousands of researchers who have found many pieces of the puzzle 🧩 so that Pr. Dave can explain us so easily… I can’t imagine how long it took him to learn about it in a manner that is making him so amazing at teaching us back!!!

🦠Prof. Dave, please finish this awesome series! 🙏I'm studying for the MCAT and while this may be more in-depth than I need for the exam, I know I'll be referencing this series in medical school! Thank you so much for the first 3 parts of this immunology series! 🙌

Sometimes I get so busy and overwhelmed with my actual homework that I get behind watching Dave's science videos. Today I was able to catch up/ re-watch this whole immunology playlist. Ready and looking forward to new future immunology content! (and pharmacology, and history of drugs, and zoology, and mycology, etc., all the science)

Geez! I've stumbled across a few of your videos from time to time. And used them for some kids I "tutor" (hang out with online). Yesterday learned about "electromagnetic radiation", hard for a ten-year-old to pronounce! But opens many doors. Today we stumbled upon this GIGANTIC body of work of yours! And, your music channel to boot! As we say in English, imprecazioni cancellate! More to the point .... my family has to learn a lot about inflammasomes pronto. So this is great.
