Even then, trying to fight most stand users while being effectively a normal person with a gun (I assume they cannot summon their personas in the normal world) is not a good idea, bullet deflecting is a common feature of humanoid stands with good speed, and people from jojo seem to be pretty good at taking gunshots and other serious injuries despite being more or less regular people.

Now if we put them on even playing fields and say bruno gang must be in the metaveres and the phantom thieves can use their persona in the real world and can see stands(this means their super human buffs too) Diavolo would have a hard time fighting them head on due to his fighting style being more of an assassin style which isn't a good play style when fighting 4 to 7 to 8 to 9 (kasumi) fighters and his stand stats of durability being a D or E meaning he can't take an ass whopping but then we have two major probelms the fact diavolo can see the future and he can skip time and move out of every dangerous situation and just appear near a member of the thieves and just donut them the only way i think they can counter this is by launching a large scale move like gigantomachia and hope it last long enough where it can Hit diavolo when he gets out of time skip(every member has some type of large scale attack) other then that diavolo is either going to struggle taking them out one by one which they can just cast recarm and heal each other since the phatom theives have 5 healers or just run away this is all scenario 1 Scenario 2 is this takes place in Italy where diavolo has his mob power at his disposal and finds out who the phantom theives are by ruji or makato(lets just use her as a slip up) and slowly pick them off even then after noticing a few of their members gone it would be safe to say they would group up and handle the threats even if worse comes to show and say all the members are put in situations where their alone you got joker who is a one man army. Makoto who is a trained fighter with defense buffs and healing haru who is a walking military arms room

@@sugoiboyxl8345 Actually, I was thinking personas and stands as similar yet separate abilities. This could possibly allow for someone to possess both at once. Personas only work in the Metaverse and are far more covert. Stands only work in the real world but are far less stealthy. The scenario would be essentially Phantom Thieves in Italy. The most reasonable scenario to take down Passione would be infiltration by joining the gang. Say Joker goes undercover and joins a division of Passione. The mental shutdowns are the result of Metaverse tampering. It'd be asymmetrical warfare, but considering the Phantom Thieves are already sort of used to that, it's far more interesting. Its not so much as the fight itself, but the mind games that come along with it. Evading the enemy and striking the heart. It requires revealing the other's identity without having yours be revealed. Diavolo would most likely be at a loss and increasingly lose his patience.

What makes it far more interesting would be how Doppio ties into Diavolo's palace. Its a race between Diavolo and the Phantom Thieves to uncover the other.

Yeah they forget some of this but p4 main weakness is they need to be in the tv world (same can be said about p3 and 5 team they need to be in a specific place or timr but they have an easier way to get their persona out and the fact p3 has a death machine two highly trained Fighters being a boxer and a fencer even then we have to get over the fact that they need to find a fucker who is able to erase all evidence of his crimes and not get touch by him

Kira has range in the form of sheer heart attack which is indestructible. All Kira has to is dodge their ranged moved but I'm pretty sure they'll be focusing on sheer heart attack other then Kira himself. Kira can throw objects that can be blown up.

Sheer heart attack is easy to manage in an open area (I'm assuming they'd be fighting in an arena in classic P4 fashion) and with multiple people that have personas with weapons or attacks to extend their reach as long as they're careful sheer heart attack can just be knocked away before it gets too close like when Jotaro threw it across the room within the time it got close enough to him to activate but before it could properly explode. Also it's not very fast and moves in a purely linear fashion so keeping track of it after you knock it away is easy. And if they figure out how it works anyone with a fire attack could just ignite something away from the main fight making it harmless again. Kira is way too overconfident in his stands fighting ability to make tactical use of the exploding coin trick in a real fight. Even if he did persona attacks are pretty much instantaneous and he'd be surrounded so it wouldn't help him much since anything turned into a bomb just explodes regularly wouldn't be an instant win like Killer queen. If Shigechi and Jotaro can survive these kind of explosions point blank to the face the actual utility here is even more questionable. The way I see this going down in a confrontation is kira is confronted. He sees he's outnumbered and tries to run but Kanji or someone is blocking his escape and maybe he releases sheer heart attack then Killer Queens whoever was blocking his way but if he actually kills anyone on the team I don't see them not killing him even with their morals. Sheer heart attack would get close in this time but when it jumps (whish it almost always does) someone would just knock it away while everyone unloads on kira. And if kira dies I'm assuming sheer heart attack does too but I don't know for sure since the rules about it are weird. If sheer heart attack sticks around after he dies though then its a draw unless they are fighting in the Tv world and just leave it there

Actually within one of the episodes in part 4 he blows someone up in such close proximity that you’d think he’d die Yet survives the explosion he made right behind him afterwards without a scratch which to some made a speculation of “Is Kira immune to explosions?” The answer being 50/50 while sure he’s able to survive his own explosions without much trouble because Killer Queen and his many other stands he’s unaffected by his own However this doesn’t mean he’s unaffected by everything else happening within the same proximity of said explosions like people shrapnel(basically people having things on them to make shrapnel happen) and with the act 3 episode affecting Kira when he was many blocks away because as seen before killer Queen is Kira’s main stand with sheer heart attack being his second and with-I should stop over explaining TL:DR Kira isn’t affected by his own explosions

Kira's bombs work more like disintegration, but I guess that could work if he's trying to hurt them with the blast instead of blowing them up (wich he can only do with one target at a time).

The bomb is described as being blown up from the inside out. Most of the time the target is completely disintegrated (looking at you Shigechi)

The touch bombs are Almighty, they blow up from the inside out. Sheer Heart attack is fire damage. Bites The Dust is almighty (not that it matters), but the Orb of Clarity given to Yu might be able to prevent/counter Bites The Dust.

Almighty is its own form of magic in Shin Megami Tensei. It is the type that the haxes of Sinful Shell, Myriad Truths, ect. pass through so I do not believe that Sheer Heart Attack can truly do Almighty damage.

Kira can control how powerful the bomb ares, Killer Queen can blow a person right next to Kira (like the apartment girl) and sometimes the bomb can also harm Kira (like with stray cat's bubble). Killer Queen is also faster than a person cuz it somewhat fights Crazy Diamond in combat.

hitBOT The thing with Stray cat is that it’s not his stand. It’s an independent stand that works with him. Kira’s explosions will not hurt him, the things around it will, ie: Kira blows down a building, the rubble will hurt him but the explosion itself will not. Kira was not hurt by the explosion by that rule, so that means that kira was not hurt the explosive power the sudden air pressure released by the bubble + the explosion.

Killer queen is no Star Platinum, but bullet deflecting is a pretty standard feature of most humanoid stands with decent speed. Stands usually cannot get hurt by physical attacks unless they come from another stand. Fighting a stand user while effectively being a regular person with a handgun can be a very bad idea.

And technically speaking, GER infinitely beats Yaldabaoth in all stats as well. The only being in Persona who could potentially stand up to Golden Experience Requiem is Door-Kun with The Universe, and that's an ability that allows you to rewrite the, well, universe at least once. Tbh, I think not allowing the Part 5 gang the ability to get the requiem stand arrow would be the most fair thing to do, as Golden Experience Requiem is just an auto unfair win. I mean, technically speaking, if giorno stabbed himself with the arrow because he wanted to kill Yaldabaoth. . . The requiem arrow wouldn't give him the same Golden Experience Requiem that Giorno got to defeat Diavolo. He would get a new Golden Experience Requiem, one with the PERFECT ability to counter Yaldabaoth. To be honest a more interesting discussion would be the Phantom Thieves vs Diavolo or the SEES team vs DIO.

NEET Kitten Well, Persona is pretty op. They can use literal magic and they don’t have all the downsides stands do. (Damage reflecting on the user being the big one) what could Jojo characters do, characters used to slower paced, cerebral fights that basically boil down to using stand abilities to counter other stands. When you have Persona crew using JRPG mechanics to blast them into next week. The only thing that could work is something like Fugo’s Purple Haze thats AoE, one of the Time based abilities like The World or King Crimson, or one of the other OP stands like GER or Tusk Act 4. You complain about nerf, but what fun would it be for the discussion to just be “oh yeah, Yuu and the gang find Kira and blast him with magic, the end.” Particularly when Jojo characters were forced to abide by Persona mechanics in Adachi’s video and were made impotent because of it. But thems the breaks when you compare a manga to a video game. Besides, Fither and his guests are somewhat taking the piss, if you couldn’t tell.
