The roasts they do today are nasty, vulgar and mostly no skills of being a writer or comedian. If they aren't talking about penises and vaginals. The Celebrities were from all genres and they were the GOATS of all times. Today roasts aren't funny just who can say the nastiest jokes. When you can sit with your family and watch, that was entertainment.

Am I the only one who finds these roasts very uncomfortable. The subject, the roastee, must have a grin plastered on his face throughout the duration of the roast. Most of the jokes don't warrant a laugh, yet the roastee must guffaw and shake with hilarity, barely able to catch his breath for the sheer overwhelming humor. I get embarrassed watching these. (I'm not watching it now, I only came here to vent)
@drtroyturner74647 жыл бұрын
Double Ghod Good point, however this is one of the few stages where you could see an intersecting of similar yet different schticks. Mr. Jefferson entering Ali universe would have had to been as tantelizing as LeVar Ball entering Pro Wrestling universe. Hey wait. Your point is well taken that these meets soon go downhill as they can't sustain their novelty. In recent years I seem to recall Bieber and Shaq being more real and not smiling unless they found the joke harmless and indeed funny.
@jammzy29595 жыл бұрын
Not Ali. He could take it. When he met Elvis, before they even spoke a word, Elvis did a martial arts move and kicked him to the ground. His charisma, charm and arrogance put him in a position to not take things seriously. Ali was cracking up while lying on the ground. Can you imagine? This is why he is the greatest.
@KhaleelSanDiego5 жыл бұрын
The "older" roasts...the roastee knew what s/he was in for, and there were certain lines that people did not cross. NOW, there is no line...i remember seeing one roast where a person spoke about the size of the vagina of the roastee....and she just sat there pretending to laugh her head off.
