You can only experience this dlc blind once and you’ve already taken one for the team. As much as I appreciate having something to watch up until release, you don’t gotta sabotage your own blind playthrough on our behalf. 😂

I love how their Social Media manager was saying: "NO STORY SPOILERS! WE PROMISE!" but the post on Steam abvout it says "world-exclusive reveals from ELDEN RING: Shadow of the Erdtree, including uncharted lands, a lore deep dive, and a lot of other content!"

A preview being spoiler free is literally impossible in a game where environmental storytelling is a major component of how that game presents its story. You could maybe make that claim when the base game dropped, since nobody had any context for what they were seeing. But now we are mired in context. We've got whole channels largely dedicated to the architecture of Elden Ring. There's nothing they could show that wouldn't be a spoiler unless they just ran around in front of some featureless cliff face.

For anyone still wondering, what they really care about is the amount of people watching it, if they tell you "no spoilers", you´ll be justified in assuming the opposite.

A big warning to everyone who is watching the red bull event on the 15th. If it is the same as the red bull event before the release of elden ring (on the website it cleary says it is similiar to this event) then it is going to so full of spoilers that its not even funny anymore. I watched the event back in the days and got spoiled so bad. One of the biggest wow moments of the game when you realize that there is whole underground map was just stolen. So yeah Dont watch this event if you want to avoid any spoilers

The amazing graphics of the DLC I considered to be a spoiler. The fewer jaw-dropping visual moments I get to organically have in the game, the worse.

Enemy and area spoilers are probably the worst kind of spoilers to me. Story spoilers for ER probably wouldn't even mean much at this point as it will likely require more context from later to really make sense of it.

Now memory came back to me. There was a similar event before elden ring release as well and I remember even some Dota2 pro players played some elden ring as well and areas were strictly restricted.

i honestly can't decide how i feel about this dlc so idek if i want to avoid spoilers or not, i'm just enjoying an excuse for free ratatoskr content. i wasn't a huge fan of the boss design in the base game compared to the previous games, and most of the bosses tend to make me feel anxious and irritated rather than excited, so i haven't actually decided if i'm buying the damn thing or not. i know i want to see the lore firsthand and i know i'll feel like a fraud fromsoft fan if i don't play it, but i'm nervous i won't enjoy it

Although now that I think about it I think I would have preffered not knowing about the new weapon types either, how cool would it have been to find a new weapon like a light greatsword, thinking it was just that, a light weight greatsword variant, and than realizing its a whole new weapon type! Than your mind would go into wondering and trying to guess if there are more new types, maybe you would think there are like 3 or maybe 4 new ones and than you discover one by one, lets say you find 6 in your whole playthrough and thats what you think there is, you finished the dlc, so you FINALLY go check out videos about it, reviews and stuff and its like BAM! 2 more weapons you completely missed. Next time I think I will be in the camp that avoids absoloutly everything, not just the world stuff

I'm in the camp that seeing ANYTHING is spoiler, in fact I think that is the ONLY camp. Going into something completely blind is the best way to experience most forms of entertainment. Granted I understand that's not usually how it's going to be, but it doesn't change the truth.
