In a country where the government doesn’t look after people at old age, for a vast majority of people, their retirement plan is the house(s) they have built for rental purposes. Not paying them your rent when due isn’t anyway different from the callous action of the Government .. This attitude among our people has to change. If you don’t pay your rent in any civilised country, you will be out on the street.

The defendant has a right to explain his situation, he acknowledged he's owing due to Covid19 pandemic which is normal.

In most Western countries and US or Canada the governments had to intervene by giving handouts or payouts to citizens if African countries abandoned theirs that's their cup of tea 🍵 with salt 🧂. African governments should always come to the aid of their people in times of hardship rather than stealing from the aid the receive from donor institutions.

This landlord sef dey do like Obori, u coming to court no receipt no prove no paper nothing at all . Just enter court room they act sluggishly. He’s a good man sha but next time come to the court with prove . This tenant sef na thief bloody liar .as for the stupid tenant one day u wil be a landlord how wil u feel if your tenants deprive you from ur rent. This is pure wickedness.

Why coming to the court with no evidence? Any form of evidence is very important in the court. When living a house make such you take photos or videos on everything and send to the owner. Why having a lawyer with no form of contract or receipt? House contract should have refund caution fee after living, items found in the house, ID card number etc We are learning everyday on how to improve ourselves here on Justice Court. After watching this video, I finally realized that there are only two reasons why this tantalizing, exhilarating, gladdening and razzle- dazzling video would enhance different assertions. One is the collective use of colloquial abstract representation of normative assertions owing to the distinction in regulatory and derogatory affirmative relations to binary patterns. This thing should be address to all Landlord, since as a Tenant you are entitled to pay for every month you live before they vacate from the house. Now, why is tenant paying huge money for Agreement and commission also damages as new rent. All this are not always on receipt issued except the annual rent money. And this days, every agency and tenant share that agreement and commission. They make things difficult for Tenant. Please this issue should be address when issue like this comes to court.

30k every month is very fair, the landlord is not considerate and there were judgments by the judge on a similar care were 15k was approved to offset debt monthly.

He is lucky he is in lagos not abuja. Abuja landlords will not allow you stay this long with their money. My own landlord went to court got court order to evict my neighbour. The day of eviction, police officers were there, judgement guys were, they took all the valuable things in her house including her car and gave her one month to raise the money she is owing the landlord or the items will be auctioned. Una no the kind landlord una go dey try shit with . When you are owing someone humble your self and negotiate with your creditor both of you mustn't end in court .
