And when every rewatch rewards you with something new. The first film I think I primarily saw it from Jean’s view, not in him being infallible. But seeing his need for revenge, though not righteous. But with each viewing it just makes me feel more sorry for women of that time and in similar cultures even today. Jean wasn’t a good man, not even to his own wife. But Jaque deserved to die 10 times over.

Because Ridley Scott is one of my favorite film directors, I am looking forward to seeing "The Last Duel" (2021) and "House of Gucci" (2021). Both films have Oscar written all over it, in my opinion.

Just got the DVD (I know, obsolete technology) but I wanted to watch it again after seeing it in the cinema…great film. More people should have seen it. Hopefully I won’t be the only buying it post-cinema…

I'd love to read those storyboards. they look wonderful. it would be fascinating to see the insight and level of foreplanning. Did Ridley create all the storyboards himself?

King, Knight, Squire and a Lady where all ends up in betrayal between them all for greed who demand a last duel to death. And who could say no to a bloody battle in the century 1300 ... I for sure couldnt. Great movie. 😄👍
