@@ChristopherGray00come on bro the problem with the picture standing alone at an angle and only slight movement from the face doesn't show the right fsr quality when you move the character or the scene around moving at high speed semiex finds it lousy of fsr compared to dlss but I have to say amd did a very good job even without a dedicated core but only relying on hardware accelerated AI from gpu vs cpu which is very efficient when in reality it's not AI but just an optimized algorithm advantage created by the AI model, plus dlss 3.5 will be available on the entire rtx 20 30 40 generation.

You are right, when I play The Finals, it feels so good how the game is clean af and fluider than any other game on 1440p with my 3060ti, I play with every settings on high but the raytracing on static and still have around 120/130 fps

The only difference I can point out when comparing DLSS with FSR is that the hardware Denoiser on nVidia GPU in DLSS is better than the software Denoiser used by FSR. I hope that AMD can fix it with FSR 3.

Both kinda look the same to me, it looks like the video is using either DLSS vs DLSS or FSR vs FSR. I play this game on 1440p Ultra with DLSS and I don't notice pixelation as bad as this video when I get close to the monitor.

Tbf to AMD, it uses only software. Nvidia has certain cores (Tensor Cores) designated for dlss processing. Since these cores are specially designed they can process the data much faster.

Both have Sharpening Sliders. People just need to use them to get it the way they like. These are just the defaults.

FSR looks great on still scenes with not so many changing things. I have 4090 and a new RX7xxx Card. And in every Game, DLSS looks 10 Times better on Quality and have more FPS in the same Scene. FSR is nice, but it has so many Artifacts like a Xoutube Video with bad internet connection.

Both 5600x with 32gb ram. One an nvidia card the other an 7xxx card from amd. I have another notebook. 5600h rtx 3060 32gb ram 2tb nve. And an asus rog ally. With 2tb wd x850x modded case. I word hard for my money. Whats the problem? I have a family car and no overwhelming big home with high costs. Iam an leading manager in one of the biggest personal transport companys in europe. My asus rog is for gaming on a plane or train. My notebook is for worl in hotel. My second itx system is for 4k gaming on my oled screen in my living room. Iam a passionate gamer. I love tech. And i can buy it. I thinks its no problem in here. I have a bachelor in computer science. So i have no money problems. Other people spend money for smoking and alcohol or for expensive girls. I have a woman. Two kids and my woman is working too. I work, my woman works. We have good money. My woman too. Low costs. No big car . No big home. Sry for my english. Iam from germany.

FSR works on every single GPU. I hate that AMD doesn't use their all new AI cores on their 7000 series to give FSR a fighting chance against DLSS. As a "works on any card" model doesn't really give great quality. I wish they would make something like FSR3.5 where it takes advantage of these AI cores. To boost quality. And maybe even do what DLSS did in its 3.5, and make raytracing better!

Boosting performance for new games on new cards is not needed because a good new game always runs on 60 FPS if you have a card from at least last gen! By the way FSR also works on unsupported Software like original Warcraft 3 and it looks better than reforged if you enable RSR! FSR 3 was made for people with GTX 1060 or RX 570 in the PC

you can see the freckles on her face a lot clearer with FSR and it looks like it artifacting is a lot better. The textures also look sharper close up.

@@AbyssalLezuri Pricewise, yup. Although if money is not an issue and you are in a postition to buy whatever's new out there, I would say RTX cards are better. Some RTX "enthusiasts" just fail to understand that some people are not willing to spend shitloads of money for an eye candy feature which is not included in most games. It's good, sure; but not good enough for me to pay that amount. I got myself a 6700XT for the price of a brand new RTX 3050 a year ago, and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Except show a scene during actual fast movement and fsr does fall apart pretty fast… I’m in no way saying fsr is trash and I hope it does improve with fsr 3 but dlss is clearly the winner when it comes to fast moment…

Show us a moving video comparison. The results might surprise you . There's a reason people who have access to both use the superior. I am not anti fsr , it's a nice technology for low end cards even I used it on many games when I was on an old laptop.

We also have to keep that in mind that fsr runs without the hardware support and when it comes to performance amd GPUs don't usually needs fsr in the same price bracket to outperform the nvidia equivalent in most cases ( yes there are exceptions)

But now days games some are so unoptimized that u need DLSS or fsr to run them at bare 60 fps .That's why most people still like to buy overpriced cards from Nvidia rather than AMD. Because DLSS is better looking than fsr . Also nvidia provides a whole lot of features .

Also thing is if you're zooming in a fullscreen image to the face of a character that takes up a small portion of it, you're defeating the purpose of upscaling. The point is to get away with lower resolution in situations where you can't perceive it. So if you zoom in ultra close to emphasize it, you are missing the point. In summary, upscaling is garbage!

FSR is still improving. DLSS works in a very specific way and they still barely support games even though they keep improving it. FSR3 will probably support way more games in the future than DLSS 3.

I hate when games have a film grain effect. Pretty sure that's film grain because I've never noticed that when using FSR or DLSS in my experience. But maybe these are just lower fidelity settings.
