Sign of a really good actor: they make you absolutely despise their character to the point you feel visceral hatred for the character. That's truly epic performance.

Yep. They were both tortured for a couple of weeks before they managed to escape. Percy thankfully took the the brunt of the torture which is why Percy's hair has more white than his sisters does in those flashbacks. They killed the adults but they were questioning and tourturing all the kids for info. they were looking for the Castle's secret entrances and secret rooms. And the children were more likely to know those secret places than the adults were. That's Taliesins'(Percy) explanation as for why they kept the children alive, anyway.

Also there's a running joke from some of the fans that the fur shit on Sylas's shoulder is Percy's family dog. Kinda on brand, tbh.

Seeing you two really get into it is really fun as a long term Critical Role fan. The Briarwood arc is EPIC. Just wait. It’ll keep pushing the limit and you’ll fall in love with these characters.

You got hit by a Grog gut punch, he's a big dummy but he's a big dummy with a bigger heart.... Travis (Grog's actor/player) has several of these great moments throughout the streamed game... makes the big guy feel like a complete character and not just the guy that hits things good. There is one moment in particular from much later in the campaign that I hope makes it into the animation, cuz that moment hit harder than any of his physical attacks ever could.

The voice actor for Sylas aka Mr Vampire Man, is literally the person who created the Briarwoods, so if you want someone to express emotions at about them, he's actually the right person.

10:14 Trinket getting left behind and never getting to fight with the group 🐻 He's only left behind because apparently animals are too much work to animate haha. In the original Vex took him nearly everywhere, nevermind the danger or inconvenience. He actually was helpful in a few of the fights in this arc, but sadly we don't get to see them in animated form.

Just think: This isn't just "based on Dungeons and Dragons," it's adapted straight from a D&D game. Part of the reason these fights seem like anybody could die is that as they were playing, any of those heroes could have died! I've only seen bits of Critical Role, but when I finish this season, I'm totally going to go back and watch the games that went into this season. If you like this show, you'd almost certainly like Critical Role.

Actually.. the guy who voices "bootleg dracula" is Matt Mercer, and he is essentially the author/writer of the character. He ran the whole damn thing. So in this case, if you have a problem with the character, the VA is the guy.

The Druid Keyleth is extremely strong. Druids are broken as fuck. You wont ever see this in a show Im sure. But after the cast finished Campaign 1 100+ episodes in, they did a battle royal where all the characters faced-off in a one shot episode. Keyleth won. Again, these are not spoilers as we wont ever see Vox Machina do a one-shot. Keyleth killed Grog by plane-shifting him to the Water Plane. Literally transported his ass to a plane that is just fucking water and he drowned with no possible way to get back. She put a beating on Scanlan by elemental shifting 5 fucking times... each time negating any damage she took in the previous form. Keyleth tried to Feeble-mind Scanlan who counterspelled her and Feeble-minded her in return. Only issue with a feeble-minded archdruid is they are going to start shapeshifting purely on instinct and rage. Once Scanland was killed Keyleth gained her senses back. Soon after Vax'ildan died when Keyleth incinerated him. When you incinerate a player they dont even get to make death saves because they are just a pile of ash. Sadly Pike and Vex'alia were not in this battle royal and keyleth was able to not only kill but completely eliminate 2 players without death saving rolls. Percy got the kill on Scanlan. Then Percy died to an enviornmental hazard before Keyleth could get to him. Keyleth is a monster.
