For Critters knowing what gifts the Briarwoods hung in the suntree, seeing the people alive and invited to dinner was a new way to get that shock for those who new what was coming. As soon as Delilah gave that girl the necklace I was like oh no.

Giving that little girl lines to speak, made it even more real and more horrific than the livestream. I actually teared up knowing what was going to happen.

I love the scenes of what the Briarwoods are doing since they were only in Matt's mind for all these years. Also, giving Pike her own journey and seeing that is awesome, I can't wait for the last half of the season. Ive been loving it all

Hearing Matt describe the bodies hanging from the tree was one thing. Seeing the Briarwoods prep the people for it (especially the kids) was the first time I really got angry with them

I’d like to think Vex’s “vines have thorns” speech is partly because of her trust issues but also, she’s kinda looking out for Keyleth as well. She knows her her brother is a bit of a player and she doesn’t want Keyleth getting played.

I was thinking that they could do Pyra and Vasselheim as Season 2 with the Rakshasa as the big bad. We'll see where they end up at the end of the season, but this less experienced Vox Machina feels like they wouldn't even survive the initial attack on Emon.

A small thing I noticed was that while in the campaign, it described 7 people looking like Vox Machina and a bear, but here it's only the 7 members. Trinket didn't fight the Briarwoods (meaning Delilah didn't see him), so Delilah didn't ask for a bear to be killed and hung. Also, I'm not sure if they could get away with hanging a bear because it is an animal.

Also, in the campaign, they had Tiberious on the tree, but not Pike because she was already off again by that point. Definitely agree, the attention to all these details is incredible.

Well, they have no compulsion about killing children so I don't think animals would be any problems. :P

CR has some epic moments but the players' dawning realization of the nature of the gifts in the Suntree under Matt's perfect pacing is my favorite because it feels like it made the story more "real" to them than ever before The animation captured it pretty well 👌

I loved they showed the tree. But I wish they made us wait an episode. Having them see the towns folk at the end of the next episode would have been crazy.
