Ayy we back lesgooo lol. I love how this show balances comedy and drama in such an effortless way, where it always feels completely natural. Makes everything in the show so relatable and loveable and a big reason why it keeps being entertaining after hundreds of episodes. Imo one of the greatest shonen lul

GOT THE CUP OF TEA!! (10:20 THE TIMING LOL)

Ah, yes, the Inazuma Eleven/Raimon OB/Inazuma Eleven Veterans match. ...Probably one of the least memorable matches in the anime, maybe even one of the worst. There is very little build-up for the other Inazuma Eleven Veterans members to justify their personality, which feel too basic aside from Hibiki and Charles Island/Ukishima Kazuto. The match feels really sluggish (understandable considering their old) and is kinda just meant for Fire Rooster/Flame Weather Vane. It also doesn't help how the Inazuma Eleven Veterans just get shafted hard after this season, unfortunately. The game for Inazuma Eleven 1 did a MUCH better build-up for them than what happens here in the anime. However, it would take too long for me to explain each member individually, but a simple summary is that Raimon is trying to do some training for their next opponent, Sengoku Igajima/Shuriken Junior High, and learn from Aida Chikara/Arthur Sweet, the guy on the Inazuma Eleven with the beanie and glasses, that the other Inazuma Eleven members are still in Inazuma Town. Aida also tells them that Fire Rooster/Flame Weather Vane was a move invented by Daisuke Endou/David Evans that could assist them in their match with Sengoku Igajima. Haruna was also scampering around, grabbing as much information available as possible to benefit Raimon and she lends them her notes once they meet with her again so they can find which members to speak to in various specific areas of Inazuma Town. One by one, each member gets a flashback everytime Endou tells them something inspirational like Daisuke Endou would say, and with their inner conflicts resolved, each member would agree to joining back into Inazuma Eleven. And along the way, of recruiting back each member, Raimon's next opponent was actively interfering with them by either hiding to hear more information, impersonating Endou, and even trying to steal the Move Manual for Fire Rooster. I found this story flow in the games to be MUCH better than the anime. Sorry for the long-ass rant, but I felt like I needed to say this. Other than that, this episode is just okay; it WILL get better, though.
