@@comegetmyxlove definitely takes practice to do those consistently. I have no doubt that you can do it. You're doing really well already and definitely have the will power. If you can manage 50 you definitely have the willpower for 72 but take it easy on yourself. The 40's are amazing and a lot of people don't have the willpower to get that far.

Welp, I completed a 6 day fast. Broke it today and back to it tomorrow. I reached 132 so far, and am shooting for 125 by month end. It sure wasn't easy getting through the fast, but I feel such a sense of accomplishment! Now to fast until next Saturday! Pray for me. LOL

I am good at fasting , I am good at not eating more than 2500 calories a day, the thing that I have not been good at is exercise as I am 75 in good health but I need energy and exercise but you can't exercise when you have no energy, I just researched a machine I heard about on you tube called power plate that touches all points of the body without going to gym in your own home, I ordered it and it came yesterday, at this time I cannot stand on it more than 15 minutes and I am done, you can also sit and just put your feet on it, your body tingles from the top of your head to the souls of your feet. I love it , it really wakes up your lymphatic system and breaks down the fat deposits in your body from not exercising and heals a host of ailments for the young and old, you just need to find the right model that can hold your weight. So now I have the fasting down, I don't eat that much, and now I am starting to get the exercise I need, the only factor that is different is my age, I have no idea if age makes a difference I would think it does.

Thanks for the updates and well done. I have been fasting 23 hours and having a quick refeed, I am pushing myself to extend that very soon. Hope to get up to 5 days and repeat due to having a resistance to weight loss, because of health issues which also caused me to gain weight. Take care

40-60 hours works for me really well... if I'm not exercising. Endurance sport training pretty much requires me to eat every day or I'll bonk. Training also makes my hunger grow a lot and I'm figuring out how not to gain weight while doing intense training 7 days a week.

I love your description of levers. I look forward to going back and watching your previous videos. If you haven't already described quality sleep/stress management and outside activity/fresh air/sunlight as part of the levers please consider including them as lever examples in future videos. One might not see them as strong levers but they absolutely have an impact on our physical and mental health which in turn affects how we approach the other levers of fasting, food, and exercise.

How many days would you consider it unsafe to go on a massive refeed? I’m about 72 hours into a fasting period and plan on going to a Korean food buffet 😂 to celebrate my kid’s birthday 24 hours from now and plan on going on another series of 4 day fasts just like yours until I reach my goal weight(135). I’m hearing that incorrectly refeeding after prolonged fasts aren’t safe but it seems like your stuffing your face after your fasts with whatever and seem to be doing alright. I wanna do the same and want to be sure it’s ok

I'm not Jerome but I am curious about how he would respond to your question. Hopefully he will do that in his live. For myself, your question would be answered a little differently depending upon my fasting experience. As a newbie, I was very careful about preparing to fast as well as refeeding. For refeeds, I lacked the ease of control that I have now. I ate conservatively.. just wasn't easy to do so. As an experienced faster I ease into refeeds longer than 50 hours and particularly in refeeds longer than 80. In order to go to a Korean restaurant (where lots of foods do have more sugar than Korean food is traditionally made with), I would have to break my fast at least the day before. For me, it's not about safety in the sense that you mean.. but moreso that I would not feel good if I don't break it eating whole foods. Then again, I do not eat the "foods" Jereome does and yes.. I put that in quotation marks for a reason. We all do what works for us and what we think is best for us.

My problem is deciding to fast. If I dont fully decide im gonna fast i find myself grazing more. Or if i decide to dry fast, i end up with a water fast or omad. But, when i get started fasting, i don't want to stop. I love extended dry fasts. I usually drop about 30 lbs in about 17 days with a 10lb rehydration gain. I do high fat keto or low carb on most days but when i fast i do low carb refeeds.

@@FinallyFasting Hola, yo soy mexicana. This morning one of your videos popped on my feed and I started watching it - it was one of three years ago. I have been fascinated by fasting, and I have read a few books on the subject. I want to do another short fast (72 hours), but I found that in order to get skinny for life (I’m very vain too), one has to become a vegan. I’m reading The Starch Solution by Dr. McDougall and it’s life changing. In the video that I watched before of yours, your face looks wonderful. Check out the starch solution on KZfaq and Chef AJ and Dr. Doug Lisle as well. Saludos.

I feel like you should be losing even faster. Exercise plus fasting and you aren't even losing a pound a day? That's insane. Do you know why it's going slower?
@Kevin.Grindel
@Kevin.Grindel 7 ай бұрын
Remember he is a small guy his body probably only needs about 1500 to function and his refeeds are 4500-5000 calories that is 3 days worth of food. His workouts probably give him maybe 3500 calories (1 pound) a week. To loose 1 pound a day he would have to exert 2000 cal worth of energy on top of BMR.
