The Lexus LBX is an all-new compact crossover is set to go on sale in 2024 and will serve as a direct rival to other premium models such as the Audi Q2, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. The LBX (Lexus Breakthrough Crossover) is also the first Lexus to use three letters since the LFA supercar, so in the eyes of the Japanese car maker, this is a hugely important model. The LBX has been designed with the European market in mind primarily, though it will be sold in Japan, too.

I’m kinda confused about the “not great it’s ok” statement about the rear of this car. For example, the car is all but 3 feet long, what benefit is there of putting rear air vents back there? It’ll cool just fine from the front. And about the space, again, the car is all but 2 feet long, it’s going to be tiny, comes with the territory. But, you at 5’9” fit just fine. That was plenty of knee room, not sure what you were complaining about. And third, the boot space. Again, the car is all but 1 foot long. The boot is going to be small. I just never understand why people review small cars then complain about how small they are. Finally, the dash. Again, I just don’t understand where the complaint came from. It’s clean, uses what looks like decent materials, and has good tech. For a car that’s all but 0 feet long, I think they did a phenomenal job.

It does have the air vents in the rear (in higher spec), they are just under the rear seat.

I drove it last week and it’s a very quiet smooth drive, vision is good Oh and the visuals on the car are outstanding including the heads up feature.

We don't think the display is tiny, it's a useful size and in a good position, but yes, no rear vents seems odd in a premium car.

Knee room in the back looked fine. Vast majority or cars are driven with 1 or 2 people on board most of the time, arguing over a few inches of legroom is neither here nor there. You wouldn't be buying this if you needed to transport adults all of the time in the back. This will be bought be the wealthy retired.

No plug in hybrid 👎🙄🙄 Stop with this "runs with engine off 50% of the time". Not having to plug in is a disadvantage. Anyone who had enough experience with a prius or Toyota/lexus hybrid knows that's not true. You need momentum, momentum, momentum and regen to get that. But it's not enough when puttering at actual low speeds or in traffic. Their batteries ate not enough.

This uses a different battery design to the Yaris Cross also. But an electric version would be nice.
