Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye is an officer in the Amestrian State Military as well as the personal adjutant and bodyguard of Colonel Roy Mustang. A sharpshooter and firearms specialist, Lt. Hawkeye is an invaluable asset to the Colonel both in office and on the battlefield and serves as his closest and most supportive subordinate.

I still prefer 2003 to brotherhood. I wish more people would give it a chance. Brotherhood is more action focused but 2003 is an emotional rollercoaster.

Hiromu Arakawa wrote some absolutely incredible female characters but Riza is the best of them all. I think she is one of my favorite characters in any piece of media ever and her and Roy's romance is handled so well and feels so natural. I love FMA so much.

When I discovered FMA in 2005 (the summer it past on TV, in France), she was my fav characters. I loved that beautiful, strong, calm and protective woman, who was a soldier and had some skills with guns. Edward was my second fav, because it took time for me to like him (he was such a jerk, I saw some of my own flaws in him and disliked him at first, but the more episodes I watched, the more I learnt how to like him, and he became my #1). At first, I was more of a Ed x Riza guy, but when I discovered the manga, a few months later (in France, the anime came in summer 2005, and the manga in october/november 2005, I remember having the first three volumes for Christmas), I learnt to love the character of Winry.

Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite series as a whole. both the 2003 & brothethood. i own the box set of the full manga, the DVDs of brotherhood and im getting the 2003 series soon. plus i have the offical Square Enix Licensed Alchemist Pocket Watch :3 i have some plans for some figures and to aquire the ps2 & DS games & the 2 movies

When I first watched the original show, after seeing the part where Mustang uses Havoc's matches when his gloves are wet, I asked why he didn't just bring matches with him everywhere.
