Here I found some great representations of the Lipstick Palm, an ultra-tropical palm from Southeast Asia. These do great out on a patio or in a greenhouse but don't do as well in the ground unless you're in the tropics!

I have had three lipstick palms and all three have eventually died , not from cold , but the roots drying out . You must water them thoroughly every day or grow in a pot sitting in water .

@@ginva4409 Bought it in the Philippines. I'm lucky that I reside here. It's somewhat easy to get. But still not a common type of palm.

I love the Red Sealy waxes, I have 4 in my yard that are about 20 feet tall, trying to propagate more.

Where are you growing these at? I live in Fort Myers, Fl and have been told by every nursey around here to forget about growing these down here. Do you think they would survive a 10a?

The actual growth rate is slow but for me its moderate

goodness these guys are expensive! Ive seen some at a nursery in West Palm Beach and even then they were rare

Yes, the best thing to do is get a smaller one and really pump it up - otherwise, expect to pay 50-75 dollars a gallon for the big ones :/

The Palm Fiend i feel like im habbitat they are more of underbrush plants and never really grow to be tall palms with a canopy

i have a big liptick palm and it keeps going brown , i’m not sure if it’s too much water or not enough , when i bought it the guy said don’t over water and everytime i check soil at bottom seems wet , but looks like it keeps browning ? thoughts ?

You all keep showing the grown lipstick palm. But no one tells us how to germinate the seeds. I received 20 seeds today. But I don't know how to germinate them the correct way. Can you help please. I keep them in refrigerator now. Pls guide me how to germinate them 🙏🙏🙏

Hi I live in Puerto Rico and I have one of this red Palm tree like for 8 years and now is that I see like what I think is seeds but not sure if it is they look like fingers hanging out can you tell me if this is the seed if you need a picture I can send one please let me know.
