The Llangolen canal. Bettisfield to Whitchurch. Lift bridge hell .

Hi peeps
In this vlog we continue our journey starting where we left off last week in Bettisfield and head to our destination for the next few days at Whitchurch. This footage was filmed earlier on in the spring this year before I had news that I had to sadly head back home to where I am writing to you from now which is the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. Unfortunatley there will be no more Llangollen canal vlogs from here as I had limited time available to get back. I will explain everything next Sunday.
Take care and be good. The world is a mad place at the moment so try to be nice to everyone you meet ( It just might make their day ).

Another lovely trip down the canal. I am looking forward to my holiday near Saul junction soon, before leaving the country for the winter months to Phuket to stay with my son who lives there. I shall be following your channel from Phuket.

Hello Del and the boys👍👍👍. I hope you,are able to keep cool. I heard that it topped 100F in the UK today😳😵. Unheard of. Are you cooling the boys down by pouring water on them, gently of course🤔😀. I heard what the temp was for you and at once I was worried for you all. Could always jump in the cut I guess, but somehow I don't think Archie and Spike would thank you for that. Anyway, take care, give the boys an ice lolly each and I will wait for your next blog. Be good😀😁.

Hi Steven. Yes mate all fine here. I'm just sorting out a few loose ends, getting my back fixed and doing a bit of work down in Gloucestershire. The boys struggled a bit but I poured the watering can over them a few times to keep them cool. Will be vlogging again in the next few weeks. Hope you are well . Take care. Del and the hounds

The MET warnings even made the news on this side of the Atlantic. I hope you can find someplace shady and breezy to moor until it passes. I'm sure the boys don't like the heat.

hello, that was good , great to see Archie and spike, loved the funny bit at the end..! nice countryside to. are you Somerset or Devon person?, only cause i am from Bristol originally but in Devon now. recognise the accent. cheers. Bristol use to be county of Avon years ago, now seems to of disappeared.

Whitchurch arm 48 hrs strictly enforced the lady with the trilby hat. She’ll take a pic of your boat as you arrive cos she lives by the arm. You can pay for a mooring it’s 100/150 depending on availability. 🤬

Yes its a shame that some people just don't abide by the rules. I feel sorry for the trust. I was chatting to the pizza boat when I was there and he couldn't get a mooring to trade from due to overstayers. Its a big problem all over the network and its getting worse.

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you don't want to get bitten by an adder. Lots of them in that area in the spring / early summer x

You make mention at having moored various places years ago and have a good knowledge of places along the system. That said your vlogs only go back 2 years. Please can I enquire how long you have been cruising because it seems you have been afloat for quite some while? By the way overstayers, just like able-bodied car drivers that park in disabled spaces, annoy the hell out of me. Who do they think they are, someone special and exempt from the rules?
