Crossrail due 1999, and we are still waiting. Fenchurch street never did get a 5th platform. Interesting video.

Interesting to see how far things have come with the now c2c. Electrostars arrving in early 2000's with longer trains meant Platform 5 at FC was scrapped

I always said they should make use of the new crossline to provide more east to west through trains, they did try running Anglia railway trains along the North London line but wasn't well advertised and didn't last long.

I'm not too pleased with Network Southeast's comment if East Londoners can fin a loophole to fare dodge they'll do it. Disgraceful stereotyping! I'm a born and bred East Londoner. And I have never fare dodged, even once! 😇

I know! The stereotype has now changed to most East Londoners can't speak English, but it's not a stereotype it's a fact 🤣
