I cannot explain how much I love this scene. I studied film in school and I used to always play this scene to showcase the awesome camera movement and cinematography along with the sound effects and music! Fantastic scene

Why couldn't they have made a movie where somebody else is the one and Neo becomes a Morpheus character and fights to save the one like a passing of the torch but at some point he faces Mr. Anderson and fights him off long enough then the new one fights him

It's a shame this clip didn't conclude at the final bit of dueling with the subway! That being said, this is without a doubt one of the most iconic fight scenes ever produced that I've seen imo. I'm 45 and my son is 15 and both of us will regularly call back to moments within it.

Not one of the best fight scenes ever made, but it's CLEAN. The fight is a little on the slow side, which helps it avoid the appearance of a "dancing" choreography." The camera allows you to see every punch and kick followed through until contact. You can see the damage the strikes do. Just overall really clean and down to earth.

This film and the first sequel (“Reloaded”) had some of the best fight scenes ever up to that point in time. And the special effects were copied for many years by other films and loads of commercial advertisers.

I love this scene. Nothing has ever come close in the last 24 years. I sure hope the next Matrix film follows on from the first film. The direction Resurrections went was awfully wrong. Also…and this was the biggest gripe of the last film…BRING BACK DON DAVIS!!! His score across the original trilogy (mainly the first film) was and still is EPIC. Do the Matrix justice is you really want to make a sequel better. Oh and get Hugo Weaving on board to reprise his role as Agent Smith. Fkin awesome character and actor.

Keanu always has some of those intense fight scenes when he's in an action movie. As far as I know. The matrix movies have the longest fight sequences I've seen spanning almost 7 minutes. The others are of course in his John wick movies.

I only now find out that this got a rerelease in theaters, last month, but only amc/dolby theaters, that blows. 😢 I've been waiting for a re-release in theaters of the og trilogy, but i don't have any amc near me Really (least not 45mins away).

This UHD remaster is horrendous, what are those colors at 0:34. There are examples of where the colors don't match between takes in the same scene in the entire movie. Did the person that did color grading even watch the movie after they were done?
