I worked with Bashur briefly at the height of his popularity (when he was still actively working on the hobo series). Building sets for the show, as well as stuff for the sort of mmorpg server he wanted to start based on that series. He was a fun guy to work for/with, but the thing I remember most is just that he would come up with all these ideas of what he wanted to do, but unfortunately he never had the will or dicipline to see it done. Which was mainly why I left. Sad to see he how he ended up only to pass when finally seeming to get better.

@@ibapreppie Lol how is that “hiding a pedo”? He’s literally doing the best thing possible in his position. He’s allowing the authorities to handle the situation while protecting his young audience by 1. Refusing to host a predator on his channel where he would have access to countless children and 2. Maintaining a child-friendly, safe, and lighthearted environment. Kids don’t need to know about stuff like that outside of basic knowledge they would use to keep themselves safe. I actually feel bad for bashur, out of all of these KZfaqrs he had the most understandable crime, being in a relationship with someone 3 years younger than you is totally normal though it gets kinda weird at that specific age of puberty. The rest of the controversy is unproven and despite all that bashur was subject to mental destruction for years, the court system is extremely stressful for young people and once he got away from it it's like PTSD just bringing this situation back up then he was essentially bullied and mentally harassed into being a lolcow which is fucked up on its own. Thank whatever God exists that he had a therapist. Bashur was in his 30s when he died which means half of this man's life was constant mental anguish and torture all because he dated someone he could have gone to school with

@Homodemon 2 жыл бұрын
@@thisusernameisalreadytaken5132 Yeah I was thinking that too. I think the attitude of "I'm very smart I wouldn't let something like that happen to me" kinda of comes hand in hand with children's lack of worldliness, they just don't have enough foresight or experience to imagine scenarios in which their lives could be really at risk and that their actions can have enough power to make them hurt themselves or hurt others. Mixing that with the literal infinite space of creeps and weirdoes that is the internet and you got a ticking bomb. Is more of a transgenerational thing, I'm sure that back then, the fact we were the only ones that knew how to use a computer already gave us a sense of knowing better, so now is the same with phones, the 100 different social media pages, memes, communities and the possibility of being online 24/7 that young people are more likely to be experts of than grown adults so is always this thing of "you don't know what you're talking about, I can handle this stuff, I'm not dumb." But sometimes is not just about being dumb, is about letting your guard down, being vulnerable and trusting too much. Yes, people on the other side of the screen are human like you. I never watched Stampy’s content before. I remember in the earlier days though, my younger brother would reference him all the time, since he was a kid then. Reasons because, I hate to say this. But back then, I generalized all Minecraft KZfaqrs to be 'annoying'. But the way this man made that send off was so sweet and heartfelt for the kids, despite the darkness behind the situation. It made me think about how there are actual Content creators who make good family-friendly content to watch. Everything within standards and good morals. What's best for their audience. Then there are 'Family Friendly' Videos, who hide behind an innocent façade while being completely sleazy. They don't care much, as long as they get the clicks. I’m glad that people actually found out what truly happened years later. It's probably for the best, where they have already grown enough to be able to understand the context. That was a class act on his part. Makes me actually want to find out more about his content now.

LforLee never turned out to be a pedophile, it was false allegations that flew around the internet along with "He went to prison for child m0lestation" when in reality, he had never been convicted of any crime like that and didn't go to prison for any amount of time (especially for such an act of indecency meaning YEARS of prison, not months with his second-to-last video on the channel being evidence of that) and he personally chose to leave Stampy because he knew sticking around would affect the channel and knew that he couldn't let people ruin Stampy's reputation like that.
