My review of the new Ping Blueprint S and Blueprint T irons, new for 2024 going up against the Mizuno Pro 245 243 241 irons. Ping have never really serviced the low handicap golfer with a strong offering of forged irons until now!

They certainly look sweet, Michael, as do the new Wilson Staff irons. I'm really looking forward to you testing those, and then doing a direct comparison against the Pings. I think the Ping and Wilson offerings will provide the most like-for-like comparison of the 2024 releases. That said, I've already pre-ordered my blended set of Wilsons 😁

Was able to test hit a very unfitted S model a week ago. Ridiculous forgiveness on a skinny or slightly chunky shot with very consistent spin, ball speed and carry. Looks are spot on and the feel was fantastic - not overly firm but definitely solid. Loved the feedback on strikes as well.

I play i230 and just tried the blueprint s today… holy smokes the feel is unreal in the s! Such a solid but soft feel that reminded me of the zx7. Drool worthy

Would love to have seen you hit the 7i vs 4i in the BP-S to discuss any feel differences with the pocket insert - along with trajectory.

As advertised. Both are great. The T is very forgiving for blade. The S is the best iron I've hit in a long time. Great feel and distance. Extremely forgiving on miss hits. Easy to blend S and T. I was fit with i230 5 iron, 6-9 blue print S and s159 wedge. Look forward to s159 review, there great too.

Nice review. If you’re ever looking for video ideas I’ve noticed that you and a few other pro KZfaqrs generally launch 7 irons in the order of 17-19 degrees. I tend to hit mine more 21-22. I’d be quite interested to see your launch angles throughout the bag. Im especially interested to see what happens for longer irons.

I remember watching you test the Ben hogan irons before they went out of business. Well they opened back up and someone else purchased the company. I recently ordered a set of the icons 4 thru pw in ust recoil shafts. $729 with a military discount. This just shows the major brands are way over priced. And comparing these new pings to the results of the hogans, does all that tech in them really help that much? Doesn’t seem to help much but your swing is on point.

It looks like they have a normal number of grooves. Did the i59 not work out for Ping? They looked good, but the reviews were somewhat mixed, especially the non-sponsored ones. And it seemed to be slow seller. Still, Ping does engineering pretty well, so a lot of study probably went into the i59. It's difficult to imagine that there's not a follow-up.

Micheal great video! Question for you how tall are you? I’m asking bc I currently play i230 and was fitted for blue dot but chose to go with black. Just wanted to know your opinion on how blue feels for you? Also in the future can you consider doing a blueprint S vs i230 video. Thanks and look forward to more content.

Am sure you can triple your subscribers from here and easily reach half a million - big up Michael have a brain storm and get some more interesting and varied content

Don't forget KZfaq isn't my full time job like Rick, Pete and others. I coach & fit 4 days a week which is a huge passion of mine and KZfaq fits in and around this, plus I have other business interests outside of golf. Therefore trying to get time to film is tricky.....free slots in my coaching diary then the camera turns on but traveling to a golf course to film is half a day to a full day which is a struggle for me with time etc.

How does the t compare to something like a mizuno pro 221? Been playing a full set of 221 last year and I want to do a blend set this year. A blend set of t and s sounds promising if I don’t go pro 243 for my top end with my 221.

Update: Nice modern blade look and not as thin as Pro221. I like Tungsten weights for flighting different shots and shot shaping, Overall happy with the switch. In my opinion best blade on the market

Blueprint s looks way better than any new gen mizuno irons. Sorry to say and i played alot of mizuno irons over the years. Starting with mp30,32,33, 53, 64, 4 ,18 and 223.

That Hydro pearl finish is absolutely junk! It marks up after just a few strikes and your clubs look like shit.

Michael, you mentioned several times about the lack of forgiveness from the T, and lamented your poor toe strikes with it, but I saw no real drop off in carry. Placebo effect? Do blades get a bad rap when it comes to forgiveness?

Not really, the miss hits really stood out as a feeling but your right, the drop off in distance wasn’t that bad.
