I will always remember my father apologizing for giving me a punishment for something which my brother did. It taught me that everyone makes mistakes even adults, you have to apologize to other person no matter how old they are. Now I am my Dad with my own children.

True Discipline is about giving good example and being Honest and Humble. We are human and so not perfect - we all make mistakes.

The best leaders will not only accept criticism, but *invite* critcism, because they want to know how to become the best leader possible. If you refuse to acknowledge your wrongs as a leader or refuse to listen to *any* ideas others have, you're denying yourself and limiting yourself the means to improve and are only setting yourself up for failure. Lead by example. If you lead with humility, people will follow you out of humility. They'll emulate you, so do the good things yourself that you want to pass on.

I'm a workplace leader and a father, and both mean being willing and able to apologize, admitting when you're wrong, and modelling what to do when you're wrong.

Our relationship with God is a mirror image of our relationships with our spouses and kids. If I am not right with God, I won’t be right with my kids and that includes practicing the virtue of humility and love enables humility at the end of the day. As a dad, find going for confession regularly and staying in the state of grace enables me to be better in my relationships with my family. It’s definitely easier to forgive and ask for forgiveness when one is in a state of grace. We love because He loved us first!

I’m scared of being a father. That I’m not manly enough because I didn’t feel like that was modelled by my father very well on what it means to be a man, and I don’t want my son to be confused about that, but I am just struggling with that myself... My parents didn’t teach me very well when it came to sexuality and I think I ended up becoming curious and learning about it from my “friends” who corrupted me and taught me a very worldly view of sexuality and now I am trying to unlearn it all.... I need God’s help, because I keep to turning to porn, although U know it’s so wrong... I am genuinely afraid my eternal salvation is in question because of it... I cannot get to confession because I work 6 days a week- I have a job working in healthcare and I see patients dying all the time and it weighs heavily on me... I feel like the only way I can get to heaven is to show my patients the most mercy, because I can only hope can will have mercy on me when my time to die comes.... I don’t want to die. I want to live and my legacy to live on through my children. I don’t want to be a bad father and die alone.... I want loving sons and children who can be proud of me one day for being a loving father.... if the Bible is true and that love covers a multitude of sins, I can only hope that showing my patients the Mercy of God will be the thing which gives me the strength to p e day love Christ as He Des sees... Omy Jesus, you know I am truly sorry for my sins, and I hope you know how much I truly love you. I know you don’t love sin and I don’t love it either but for some reason i have not been able to defeat this... please come and have mercy on me. I’m done trying to conquer this in my own strength a d only you can save me... please help me live out Mercy like I’ve never done before. Amen

If you do a wrong to your children, like loosing your patients with them, you should apologize. You should not apologize for patenting your children! Your kids aren't gonna like your parenting, that's Ok, your not supposed to be their friend!

I would disagree that a relationship can always be repaired. My own father proves that with me. There is no amount of repentance that I think could ever rebuild our trust or relationship. I would celebrate his repentance and conversion to the Christian faith, but not with him. I would never trust him with myself or my family, never again. Not because I don't forgive him (I have) or that I hold a grudge (I don't) he has just proven to me that there is little he won't lie about if it means getting what he wants and one of the things he has always wanted was to hurt me. One of the last times I saw him he even told me he basically told me he would kill me if he felt he could get away with it. Nope, that relationship can definitely never be repaired in this life. Then again, it never existed in the first place apart from the relationship any hostage has with their abusive captor.
