The vortigaunt hidden in the pipe in Half Life 2 I always thought was cool. Half Life Blue Shift had some interesting secrets too, I even made a video of them all back like 15 years ago back in 8th grade on my channel here lmao

When you are in Hyrule Castle and there are the windows with the Mario paintings you can shoot the paintings with the slingshot and money will come out and on the other side of the room if you shoot a jar with your slingshot a guard gets mad at you and throws a bomb at you.

Kinda funny that they added "hot coffee" as an achievement in the following game GTA 4, after u got invited to ur date/gfs house for "coffee" after a successful date

Gotta love it when developers/game companies are self-conscious. Best one so far I have to say is when Heisenberg yells "I'm going to murder that boulder-punching asshole!" in RE8. Almost made the entire game for me 😄

Literally the best sleep aid on this website, which is not something I say maliciously. I do not give the slightest wit about World of Warcraft but now I know about every worthwhile quest line in Vanilla because "I got work to do at 7am tomorrow and this is the only thing that will make me functional at that hour."

The reason why there are many ways to access the Chris Houlihan room is because it's actually a failsafe room. It sends the player to that room when there is an error detected within the players Y coordinate.

One of my personal fav's is in BG1. There is enchantment/charm magic that lets you take control of enemies, and there is actually hidden dialogue for a few npc's in BG1 that you can only get via this method, there is a optional fight in the cloakwood with a cursed woman called Centeol who when picking the right dialogue option will name drop the antagonist of the sequel and if you charm her and speak with her you can learn what is basically his villain backstory, hidden away in the first game.

Getting out of the chair on black ops 1 menu was pretty cool. The zombies easter eggs were good too, at least back when they were fun little secrets instead of major lore quests/missions/chores everyone knows and is expected to do but they still call easter eggs for some reason.

A few secrets in the first Borderlands stick out to me as memorable: If you got on top of the shack that held the ammo and weapon vendors in Fyrestone by using those little pipes on the side, you could see a weirdly colored claptrap off in the distance that'd wave to you and say hi. If you came back to New Haven right as you get the quest to kill the Rakk Hive, a door on some random shack would slide open and reveal a basement filled with psychos, Christmas decorations, and a unique "Red Rider" sniper rifle. If you go to a boat in Treacher's Landing and shoot some random barrels placed around the environment in a specific order, a man riding a fish would appear and sing opera music for a few brief moments before disappearing.

I knew about the Zelda: Link to the Past one, but had no idea it was in relation to the warmech from FF. Thats actually really interesting. 1990 was a weird time.

Your channel is one of the few that I always find myself going back and re-watching different videos from your library. The funny part is that I was never that big in to playing WoW but I still really enjoyed your videos about it. The cow level thing always amuses me even though I never played Diablo growing up because I loved Starcraft. I was bad at it as a kid so used cheats a lot, and the cheat code to instantly win a match or campaign level is typing "there is no cow level". Starcraft was released two years before Diablo 2.

in Diablo 1 there is an area on the edge of Tristram that contains some cows behind a stone wall that you cannot reach. There was a rumor in the community back then that there was a way to access that era, which is kind of how the cow level thing got started IIRC.

The rumor spread of the secret cow level, and apparently Blizzard CS would get phone calls all the time from players asking how to get to the secret cow level in Diablo 1. No matter how much Blizzard tried to correct the record, that seemed to only fuel the speculation that they were hiding it. That is where the whole meme comes from.

Alttp Speedrunner here. The Houlihan room is actually accessible in many diffrent ways, others are not luck depended. The game puts you in that room whenever you enter a room from the overworld where there's not supposed to be an entrance. This can by done in many places with the help of a bombs knockback. If the game doesn't know where to put you, you'll enter Houlihans room

It's pretty new, but the FF:06:B5 secret in Cyberpunk 2077 is really cool and has a lot of backstory and lore behind it. It's perhaps the most elaborate and impressive game secret I've ever seen. Completing the secret awards you a new car, but it also features a Cyberpunk clone of Wolfenstein 3D, funny in-game QR codes, a string of Python that assembles a game of Tic-Tac-Toe that you cannot win, the developers trolling us and laying out how primitive we are as humans, awesome cutscenes, and tons of secrets within secrets. Really fun, you might wanna include it in your next video. I was one of the people who solved the mystery, it was a long community-wide effort. I can fill you in on any details you might need.

Hey man I wanted to say thank you. I have had a hard time enjoying wow for a while now and your videos about video games just being games gave me an idea. I went and claimed an abandoned house in dark shire. Tonight I'm throwing a house party and I'm learning that there still are people out there that want to have fun and be social. So go out and find an abandoned house that works for you, wow is still fun, but Blizzard can only do so much. The rest is up to.

Dark souls if full of this stuff - in the first one The Great Hollow is hidden behind two of the illusory walls. Or the painting that you get sucked info IF you jumped off the elevator then got up the tower (feeling totally like breaking out of bounds) and then rolled up like an egg in a crows nest just to get to the starting zone - it's so convoluted that it's making it so amazing.

I like this video, covering more games than WoW is definitely a good direction. But I have a critique; the landscape of video game trivia/info has been growing a lot in the past years and, at least personally, I found that all of the information you shared are already very well known and spread throughout the community. I think it would be a lot more interesting if you focused on one of these secrets and dug deep into it and revealed new details/info.

Houlihans room is just a fail-safe room u get taken too when the game does not know where to put you. You can reach it by other means aswell, aslong as you can make the game confused on where to spawn your character :)

There should be no censorship in M rated games. If someone doesn't like a certain aspect - they're free to just not buy it. Like I'm chosing not to buy games that are too DEI-focused.
