The fact these cats died years ago brings me sadness, but it brings me happiness knowing the cats have been immortalized here on youtube. I bet their owners would have no idea in the future people would be looking at their cat pics for years to come.

I love these! I’m in my fifties and have always loved cats. My mom speaks of her father and his love for cats and how he always had several and was quick to feed any stray or neighborhood cats that liked their alternative food sources. He died when I was quite young and I barely have any memories of him but knowing he loved cats makes my heart happy somehow and a small connection to him too. My mom always says my love for cats reminds her of her dad. My dad wasn’t much of a cat person when I was growing up but that old farts heart has softened to the critters since he has little choice but to interact with them on visits. Beautiful creatures and all it takes is a chance to know them and they’ll make you a cat person too.🥰😻

Cats haven't changed much in a 100 years, they're as crazy and lovable today as they were then. Some of these photos are timeless while others are easy to see they are quite old.

We have to remember those times before digital photos, processing films were costly, and everyday people including the cats together shows how precious they are! 😄

I have the first picture of a cat done by a professional. It sits contemplating the outside world as seen through a window. It’s majestic. Let’s not forget the feral ones. They have safeguarded our health with their rodent control activities for a very long time. I love cats , independent, mysterious little creatures. Thanks for these reminders of them being the sweet companions that they were in earlier times.

As a bonafide lover of cats my entire life, I couldn’t imagine life without them. I even tried one time because of a living situation, but that situation had to change quickly so I could get back to having my sweet little fluffy cats again. They just make life so much better. Hubby and I are definitely cat parents….All our fur babies we adopted from the streets and brought home and spoiled them until they passed of very old age. They were all inside cats 🥰

It turns out that cats have been friendly and close to humans for a long time, and this video is proof of that. A very informative historical documentation of cat and human friendship 👏 amazing. Even my country only just became independent in 1945 but abroad people already live peacefully and can keep cats and love them, I myself wasn't even born at that time 😬😽😻🙏

Ive just lost my last cat two months ago suddenly from that heart disease causing fluid in the chest. She left her previous owners live with me she was a very affectionate thing long to be with me. She now rests in her casket on her favourite spot looking out front bedroom window long to have another one later on they are such restful creatures.

The 3rd picture is a Cats Meat Man. He would sell little bits of meat on skewers from door to door. My grandmother knew of them in the East End of London. The cats would follow him all through the streets.

Wow! Viendo estas fotografías me he dado cuenta de algo, los gatos no dejan de sorprenderme! Son tan inteligentes y únicos. Si miran bien las fotografías, notaran cierta similitud entre el gato y su dueño. Parece que se asimilan a la personalidad y estilo de su dueño y son un reflejo suyo. Por ejemplo la "seria dignidad" del gato en brazos del oficial, la elegante pose relajada del gato en las piernas del famoso escritor, exactamente la misma pose elegante y relajada de él. En fin...una más de sus cualidades 😸

us cat owners have bee domesticated for thousands of years now , since before Egypt was even an empire. There's a reason these little fur balls didn't evolve to be bigger , but smaller with time , domesticating us was all they needed to do to guarantee the survival of their species . they're so slick !

Basically nothing has changed for cats except for a better medical care now! They always looked for a way to sleep for most of the day without being disturbed, a way to be fed regularly and went where they pleased. Followed people who were most likely to give them food. 😅 Always thought they were better than others and always had an attitude 😂😂😂😂 I'm saying that as a happy cat owner with , happy but with my arms scratched
