Yea..One of the reasons it feels like a parody is that the choice of having the "Munsters" being told from an origin story of Herman & Lily...The more solid choice would be the family already solidified and how they interact with other people without them being self aware of it, the better jokes would come from that perspective.

And why is it for Generation Z? I imagine a majority of that generation and maybe even millennials have never even heard of the Munsters to begin with.
