Burton Outdoors they seem to grow in certain terrain, moors and low down on the higher mountains. Probably some parts of the country wouldnt get them at all, they only fruit at this time of year. They’ll be gone during August.

Great video Joss - and glad you liked the gift! Count yourself lucky that I found that when I did, you almost got a portable solar shower and trowel haha! Must say when i saw you going at it with that knife I was holding my breath haha. Thanks for organising this challenge, was a great bit of fun. all the best! and thanks for your kind words! Love the taste of bilberries but as you say they are tedious to pick without one of those gadgets, not to mention the staining. All the Best.

You must be somewhere above Trefor. I can see the aquaduct in the distance. I guessed by the accent that you must be from the area around Wrexham. The bilberry rake thing was new to me. Only problem I can see is you then have to pick the leaves out!

Black Dog Vantrails thanks Im from Llangollen originally and now live in Chester. Theres a trick to get the leaves out. You drop the lot into a tub of water and the leaves and debris float to the top. The rake is a great tool. The tubs I collected took less than an hour. I think by hand would have been 2 hours plus!

I was eating them Joss on the move the other week on the Blorenge - I find them very sweet. Speaking of sweet that was a sweet gift of Trevor. Like you I can't think for one moment he picked that up for £10. Pretty cool though. Mark

Wye Explorer Thanks Mark- they’re unique- the taste of summer as a french lady, berry picker told me later that evening! I know- Trevs gift was extremely generous. Very kind. I shall have good use out of it for years to come, I hope👍
