My pleasure! The tamenuri is exceptional value in my opinion. If you were to go to sailor, you’d be looking at a minimum of 1600 usd, which is on the pricier side. Dani Trio is roughly 1800 usd and upwards

Actually, it's almost impossible to buy new Nakaya pens in 2024. The earthquake in Wajima Japan on new year's day destroyed most of town were the urushi lacquer artisans worked. At least one of the master artists died. As per their website, Nakaya stopped taking orders, no pens are currently on the market at retail, they are sold out. Pen shows and other collectors are likely the only place you will find a Nakaya urushi pen for some time to come.

You can still buy from independent stockists :) Sakura Fountain Pen Gallery, Pens In Asia, Nagasawa and many more still have stock and due to their pricing, I expect they will have stock until Nakaya resume business

They are from independent stockists :) although the selection is somewhat dwindling . Check out Sakura Fountain-pen Gallery, Pens in Asia, Landholt, Nagasawa :) their website has a link :)

Hello, on their website this midori tamenuri isn’t available, it’s my first choice, however, the aka tamenuri, my second favorite, is available

Yes, it’s temporally unavailable :( I believe they will be reintroducing at some point. But of course they need to get their operations sorted first!
