RastafarI love Naomi. Thanks for having these Black designers on you program. So happy to learn about them. A Black designer of Ayiti descent dressed the Vice President for one of her first events. So wish you coulda had him too. Also worth including are some black designers like Laden's Clark, who is Jamaican born in the U.S. and she's a beautiful model with Matty dreads. She's showcasing blackness in its most Organic way. Also, the Twins from Wadada, they make beautiful clothes. There are many more who deserve to be included. Thanks. Hello Naomi, pls I wanted to ask I find it very difficult finding shoes because I wear size 13 as a female. Do you know which anyone who designs shoes that will be willing to make a ladies shoe for me in size 13.... It doesn’t have to be name brand even a small niche designer. I can’t walk into a store for shoes because I know no one sells larger than 11 and may be a very few 12’s. . And recommendations will be good. Thanks so much and I really enjoy your content. Totally enthralling stories. Each designer uber talented, driven and still very grounded. Naomi your Papa (Ancestor Alaia) and GrandPapa (Ancestor Nelson 'Madiba' Mandela) would be so proud of how you are using your voice. A British Black designer you should add your support to is Bianca Saunders (www.biancasaunders.co.uk) who has a fantastic narrative that creates her menswear designs. Also take a look at the BOLD Agency by Black fashion creatives Andrew Ibi and Harris Elliott. As vintage style goes I really love Ossie Clark dresses. That man could construct and cut for the contours of the female form. Madame Gres is an all time fave too. Both my Grandmothers were seamstresses.
