Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu is a force and someone I wish I had met decades ago. I had such an enlightening conversation with her about racial inequality, Meghan Markle, and her viral debate with Piers Morgan.
This is No Filter with Naomi, a weekly series with the most well-known innovators in the fashion, beauty and entertainment space.

I absolutely admire the formidable Shola. I feel she is the only one who can represent the voice of ethnic people in the UK. I’m fed up of covert racism in the UK and people disguising it as misspeak or innocuous. Many times it is not i.e. it is not unconscious bias but conscious bias. The way Shola tackled Piers Morgan was admirable.

Same here, the best thing my father did for my older sister was to send her to Nigeria for her studies. She came back a beast, learned and oozing confidence from her all pores. We that stayed behind were just "mashed up" by racism from school right up to our adult lives.

@Dimitra Arvanitidis I feel you have your vocabulary understanding misinterpreted here. I am in no way idolizing any of beings above. I clearly started that I SALUTE them and respect their works. Having been raised in a society which chooses to place a veil of deception over it's history and instruct manipulation of mental health on the masses, I find it refreshing and empowering to know that there are others out there willing to put the honesty of their words before the fear of the malevolence which is bound to follow them. Please do not preach scripture to me with regards to this matter as the whole thing began with equality and basic human rights - moral scriptures being ignored. If you knew all of the scriptures in the edited bible, you would recognise this work as being that of the Most High. If you have read and researched all of the scriptures, including those missing from the bible, you would not have even approached this comment. Peace be with you 🧡

I've been binge-watching your channel today Naomi. Your intelligence and easy going character really shines through. I never knew much about you before (except my mum saying you were from Streatham, she was a model from Mitcham🤣) but I guess the media tried to paint you as a 'Diva' because they were uncomfortable with you being both beautiful, intelligent AND confident. You never shrunk yourself to suit a patriarchal narrative and own your power. You are an inspiration to women, great channel. 😘
