Not for thin/fit guys with wrists under 7 inches. This wears just like the old 36mm Explorer. Personally I have no issue with watch size. I wear a 47mm Panerai 42mm Speedy, 40mm Sub, 28mm Reverso.

Nah, it fits great on me. And I am a man, fit, healthy, active, and confident.

I think that's purely personal taste. I for one thought 36 mm watches would wear too small. And while I think 38 to 40 mm looks perfect on my 7 inch wrist, maybe even better than a 36 mm watch, I just can't get used to actually wearing them. I always wear a shirt and they never slide under the cuff of my shirt. I prefer wearing vintage 34 tot 36mm watches. Besides, I also think a 36 mm can look very elegant if worn right. Just depends on your general aesthetic and personal preference is what I'm saying I guess. So for men it will be too feminine, but its definitely not a feminine watch.

@@wiesvangilbergen7916 Yes you're right. It depends they type of guy that wears a 36mm. For me I can wear anything except a Big Pilot (it looks like a clowns watch on me). The Explorer can look odd on a bigger guy, even if his wrist is less than 7 inches. I'm a short guy 5'5 average/thin build so I think it looks elegant on me. I am not a sporty guy (I don't even own a pair of sweat pants). I'm not a blue collar guy so something like a Deep Sea will not work for me, but a Panerai will. I'm into Italian/Japanese independent designer men's clothing (fashion forward type). My wife is in the fashion industry and we get invited to fashion shows/designer parties/art galleries. So I have to dress up often. What I enjoy about this hobby are the one and done versatile watches that match my sartorial style. One thing is for sure I don't like a watch to stand out more than my suit or outfit. I want my watch to compliment my apparel. Watches are a personal choice, but what's overlooked is how it matches the man and his lifestyle. many say 36mm is small but look at Tony Soprano mob boss that rocked a 36mm Day Date, and he was a big guy on the TV show. A watch is his choice, but sometimes a guy with a tuxedo rocking a Submariner? To me that's a high school kid move. The man doesn't know how to match (IMO). Same with a skinny 21 year old rocking shorts and flip flops with a gold AP. Too big, too bling, and it makes a person look like he's trying hard to look rich. I'll tell you what's feminine Tiffany blue dials, and diamonds on a watch.

@@wiesvangilbergen7916 What young guys tend not to know before they got into watches. Before 1999 watches even fashion watches were small 32mm-38mm. Back in the early 90's before the Submariner was the hype watch (not everyone's grail) 36mm was the old 40mm/42mm. People were not as fat as they are today. Once fashion brands up watch sizes and Panerai hit the scene in 1998 size preferences changed. Even when I bought my Explorer. It took a day to get use to the size after wearing plus 40mm watches since the early 2000's. For me the 36mm is a classic size. A throwback to my early 20's in 1992.
