I rate Scania not because I'm a blind 'Fan' but because I always found them so reliable, comfortable, powerful, and great to drive. From my own experience - they became my favourite brand over many years from the 112M to the 143-500, to the 144-530 and finally the 164-480. On cold winter nights, the Scania cab is always the best insulated. The drawback though - they are expensive. But you get what you pay for. I will drive others..but soon I want the Scania back..! @Scoobmeister Well i have seen Scania v8 run in over 1650000 kilometers so i still belive in scania since they have made a Complete new engine and it will be able to make more then 730 but who cares whos got the most horses if it eats 1 litre more fuel every mil and no i dont mean mile i mean mil which is 10km

@Scoobmeister Well then make a cooler for it your self and see how hard it is to fit in a truck. So it isnt the engines fault it is the coolers fault.

best economy - horse power combined is not either Scania or Volvo and it is coming from a truck called DAF :)) , more cheaper to maintain and not breaking all the time! about the horsepower race between the two i don't have much to say ! maybe only the fact that there is no need for such power like 730 or 750 hp . in Europe lately the people like more the numbers from the bonnet and the sounds of the exhaust , and not the reality ! we Americanise more an more in the stupid way don't take me wrong i love for example the Scania M 143 V8 500 hp or Volvo F 16 ! but that has nothing to do with facts of economy , reliability and comfort ! it is just about the beauty of a truck ! today's trucks indifferent of producer are all rubbish ! they are all made of plastic , lots of electronics , expensive maintenance , cheap interiors and so on ! nothing to respect if you stay to think that for a top of the line you pay a little fortune(over 90.000 euro ! and the first series are all the time testers , you buy them and after they wait you to tell them what is wrong with the model so they can improve ! ON your expense :))

@Scoobmeister you must be jokeing how can a shit volvo compare with a scania ? scania is the king of our roads volvo give you nothing in the trucks scania give you all kinds of extras and so much more power :)
