The reason that labels and corporations don't accept that there will never be a "next BTS" is because they believe that their amount of money and access renders them able to do literally anything they want. Money is their superpower, and telling them that "not even all of your money can create the specific organic growth that BTS has" is seen as simply challenging them to try harder to use their money to make a bigger and bigger spectacle of their groups, only to abandon them when they don't provide an identical result to BTS.
@kinetic3971

That and bts didn't go through the corporate channels to get to where they are which of course annoys them. I remember V talking about getting offers and they kept rejecting them. Being organic is a wonderful thing it's a journey and best of all you know you did it with your hard work and you can truly be proud of that.

I think that’s really evident in blackpink. They’re clearly popular, but no matter what people say, they aren’t the same level of popular as BTS. They’re still out streamed, BTS sales are still higher, etc. And yg I think focused on bps monetary value rather than their talent. Like how their new MV’s were described as having a high budget and being expensive. Being expensive doesn’t necessarily equal being famous. Because even though those MV’s were expensive, they didn’t do as well with streams, charting, etc as BTS have done. And that was just the first example that popped into my head but there are far more. And I don’t mean that as a dig against BP, but moreso yg for how they are promoting BP and selling them as a brand not as singers

Totally agree Julia. Like people didn't predict Beatles at the time, no one predicted BTS (except ARMY of course). It is the fans who connected with BTS' music, lyrics, messages & members and BTS that made this phenomenon. It will be up to the public who the next BTS will be and it may not be Kpop. British Rock Band in the 60s, Kpop Boy Band in the 2020s...who knows what music and where the next phenomenon will occur. Why RM said 50% belongs to ARMY.

Music labels need to understand you cannot have a next BTS without a dedicated fanbase of millions of fans. BTS grew alongside their fanbase. You won't get that kind of dedication with a single release or maybe a few comebacks. It takes YEARS to create something that will give a reason for this level of dedication of so many people.

What a great analysis and reaction video. I'm 50 years old so I remember the pressure of the music industry to find the next big things like the next Michael Jackson, the next Madonna, the next Britney Spears, the next Ricky Martin, and the next Boyz II Men. You can't create those things. It has to be organic. Putting out so many copycats will make fans find something else because "everything is the same," and I can see that happening to the casual Western kpop fan who found kpop because of BTS. Most of the music I listen to know is Kpop but it's with artists and groups who have different sounds than BTS, because when I want BTS, I listen to BTS. Love your channel.

I into kpop back in 2009, and yes i mean, i don't know about groups much i just generalize them as kpop and listen to all of them.. and don't really care what they are saying, UNTIL i found BTS. I feel their sincerity, genuine and everything by their songs. Songs that i can relate to that does not connected to love/romantic/broken heart. I will search for the translation lyrics and, I can say Answer: Love Myself by BTS really pulled me out from my self hate and depression. I was in a bad state, i found BTS on the right time. Since then, i never look back, they are the first Kpop band that i spend money bought albums and merch related to them. All those videos circulating by ARMY to educate new ARMY really helped us. As someone who into kpop way before, BTS not just a trend and their organically raise up to where they are, are not luck but purely hard work, great amount of love and support from BH also ARMY. There is no NEXT BTS, there will never be. BTS is BTS and will be known as legend not just in Kpop but the world. Stay together ARMY, our boys SOLO coming up and while waiting for 2025, lets pour them lots of love and support.

BTS is the whole package which is what makes it difficult to be like them. Firstly they have the best leader in Namjoon. They all get on together which is the most difficult thing for group members to do. They don’t have big egos so their disagreements don’t flare up out of all proportion. They genuinely support each other. They have different, distinct, attractive personalities and it shows in their beautiful faces. They can dance and sing, no one is carried, they all play a part. Their music is diverse and there is something for everyone. It isn’t vacuous pop, it has depth. There has never been another Beatles, Stones or Queen and why should there be? There are one or two other K-Pop groups I like but none of them cover all bases. I hope BTS all emerge from their military service ready to take the world by the throat and shake it up again.

One of the best answers in the comments. I completely agree with you. I come from the Beatles era. I've been through all these years with so many stars yet nobody was able to duplicate The Beatles and furthermore they disbanded in a very ugly way which broke my heart completely. Yet I still remember those 8 or so years as being an integral part of my growing up. After them, no one has moved me no matter how much I liked many other groups until I discovered BTS. It has been like a rejuvenation but in a much more mature way - a deep beautiful recognition of their talents, appreciating all the aspects that make them so great. It's a deeper more knowledgeable awareness and appreciation that I wouldn't have been able to have in my teens simply because I've gone thru life's experiences which render the BTS 'affair' more meaningful and durable. I will be with them hopefully as long as they are around.

The same way there'll never be another Micheal Jackson, another Beatles, another Queen, they're in legendary territory. They're in a territory that is not possible for any other group is able to cross. +Also as a Hispanic, I'm just living for Spanish music to break through. I'm beyond excited, I'm so happy for artists like bad bunny who's been making so much noise this year. I kpop1992(as 48year old Korean) I didn't hear self love in K pop songs exept BTS. Maybe Seo taiji and 2ne1?(Seotaiji & boys debuted in 1992) but not much like BTS. BTS didn't create Self-love but BTS started it. Now I can hear everywhere about selflove and girl crush. and BTS they make songs about beyond 'self love'. Their solo works prove it. And it's not easy to find some k pop groups without changing members, problems with drugs or drinking. I heard so many times from my friend who works in k pop industry SM has sooo many talented trainees but they have to kick out their fellow trainees to survive. So it's hard to have fellowship. We can easily hear about their discord between two groups in same company. It's because they trained together but some made a debut first and some had to leave trainees. Singers from big 3 sing very well but with the same skill. BTS is unique in every aspects. In the way they sing, dance, their bond between members, their messages. And they express themselves freely and indivisually. I have never seen the maknaes of the k pop groups have tatoo. And songs like black swan, persona, whalien52, ma city, fake love, hip hop lover, epipany, 00:00o'clock.....I had never heard this kind of songs from other k pop bands.. Haters should confront the reality and accept it.

When u mentioned abt how other groups now wanted the same achievements as BTS, and it's indeed okay to dream so, it's perfectly normal; I remember my own takes abt it long time ago. Honestly, it became annoying whenever Idols/Artists said they want to be the number one in Billboard, or the number one singer in the world, especially after they saw how BTS today. Bcz here's the thing, all they see is just the glitters & glimmers of the title. Like how the creator of the video has said, those Artists just looked at that high without seeing what little step they could make & reach for now! Compare to TXT. I'm not their fans, but I have big respect & admiration on how their mindset abt it. The first time they debuted, all they wanted was just working hard so that they didn't embarrass the huge name of their Senior & the trust of their company (they said it in the press con, I think). It's saddening to hear that, if u're a fan, but also it's so touching to see how humble they are. Then there's a moment when they watched BTS' concert in Chicago. Yeonjun said how he's inspired to do the same stage as BTS one day in the future, even tho he knew it's hard. It especially amazed me when Taehyun said, "I wondered how hard they work to become the group they are now?".. It's indeed absolutely fine to dream abt being the number one or charting high on Billboard, but most Artists who said so lose the sights & the things that matters the most: Music, Performance, & their love for it!! Also, I feel more insulted now whenever they said it SO EASILY they wanted to be the number one WHEN they hardly paid attention on what BTS had been through to achieve that title!! I'm not a Moa, I'm just an ARMY, but my standard now is TXT whenever Idols/Artists said they're inspired by BTS & wanting to be like them: what they really want? Music & Performing on the big stages or the sparkling titles? What they know they have to do? Do they know what kind of hardships BTS had to deal for it? Are they ready to bear the same hardships? Do they even care to think abt it?? It's not just the agencies who teased them false promises & using dirty tactics, the Idols/Artists are also did mistakes with that mindset; & the worst is they will hurt themselves if they keep in doing so.. Suggestion? Focus on Music, Performances, & the people who supports you through thick & thin: the fans. Achievements & title will come along the way. U'll get what u deserve truly one day P.S: It's not like I'm saying TXT will be the Next BTS. There will NEVER be the Next BTS. I just love their mindset around the matter of their Senior's achievements, that's it. And for that, I believe no matter how high the kids have achieved, they will be truly happy & feeling rewarded

BTS face all initial hate when these things were new to West when they are not much familiar with k-pop nd their culture but now group don't get that much hate coz now people are familiar with it..nd how much army's struggle and get hate to make BTS big coz their is spcl relation between army and BTS...how can these companies make next army through these tectics when nobody support them there was only army's behind them nd their company...these groups not all but some don't even think about that coz they recieve everything in their plates..nd the worst thing is those who wanted to be like BTS doesn't even acknowledge wht they did for kpop

As a Moarmy, I totally agree. My ult is still BTS but the sincerity and humbleness of TXT is what really got me into them. Soobin, for example have once explained how he respects Jin for being such a good brother to TXT members, and how he even went to Namjoon to ask for advice when he's having a hard time as a leader. Even now, the members still actively listen to BTS' music, you can even see how genuinely happy they are whenever BTS wins an award in MMA / MAMA, for example this year, they are the fastest to react even when the "bangtansonyeondan" isn't pronounced completely lmao, they cheered happily and stand up immediately when the other idol groups are still sitting there completely still, their cheering continues till the last second of the segment. There will never be a next BTS, but I believe TXT will be the first TXT in the future! :) I'm actually glad that Bang PD never intended to really create a group aiming to be the next BTS, which is why I think most of the HYBE groups are worth having a look! All of them are working on a concept which are tailored uniquely for them. In conclusion, stan HYBE lol

there are in my opinion so many reasons why BTS will be always stay unique and no one will be able to repeat their journey of success. 1.They are the originals. They are the first in several record breaking achievment, so everything that comes after them won't be the first, since that is already occupied by BTS and BTS only. 2.They are the underdogs. People love underdog stories. The wonder of alladdin becoming a prince. Super M is like the Marvel superhero group, but BTS is like peter parker, the unknown genius, who got bitten by a spider. A big agency can never build an underdog group, since they will never have the hardships BTS went through as coming from a small agency. They are already big and wealthy. 3. it is hard to find a group of people who blend so well like the members of BTS. like they say in Run BTS, they are "7 mate mates" passionate and humble people who just feel like they are meant to be together. 4. They are passionate and embracing art fullheartedly. What BTS creates goes beyond music records, they are story tellers, actors, artists, singers, poets, dancer, philosph, their music has meaning and charm, made by themselves (they have credits in almost all their songs for lyrics, composing or producing) 5. they alway tried to stay close to their fans, stay as real as they can, as humble as they can, down to earth, regardless their wealth, success and popularity 6. they didn't even try. It was never their achievemnet to be "the best of the best" they weren't greedy like that. First, they simply tried to survive as group of a small company, giving their all. They worked hard and thankfully took all prizes that were given, and while success was always part of their job, it was never greed like the greed of the big companies. 7. they love what they do, and it shows. they literally leave their heart on stage. No one can fake that. People can feel it.

Hello, thank you again. Yes, BTS is BTS and it is important for other musicians to be who they are. I'm 62 and started with getting interested in Korean music because of Seo Taiji. Then after that it was/is BTS. I like a lot of different music from different countries. I like Nightwish (Finnish Symphonic Metal). They are storytellers just like BTS but in their own way. They started in 1996. BTS are storytellers as well. In my country The Netherlands the media are looking down on BTS. They did the same to Nightwish. In 2019 the female singer, Floor Jansen (Dutch from the Finnish band Nightwish) participated in Beste Zangers and everyone was blown away of how good she is. Hardly anyone knew her. Due to that show more people discoverd Nightwish. I love how BTS is unique due to the fact that RM Suga JHope Jin Jungkook V Jimin are so different from each other. I truly like JHope's album and also RM's album. Sadly enough I wasn't able to pre order JHope's album in my country. Now you can buy his album. Sorry, for this long story. Yup. I listen to kpop since 2004, and only enjoyed the song. Still read the lyrics (bc I didn't want to listen to a song if I didn't know the lyrics) and that's it. Until I found BTS, I read the lyrics (as usual) then it hit me. I can say BTS songs are different than any kpop song I listened to since 2004. The beauty of the lyrics, the meaning of it, the story behind the songs, it's just different. Can't describe it well in words but only can feel it. It can embrace me and so relate to my (our) life. And they stay in my heart not just one time song. It's everlasting.

i remember one of the things american people used to say about bts when they were in america (around 2017-2018) was that they probably succeed because they were pretty boys that sing and dance. And let me tell you the xCeleste gave years of life after what she said. YES, bts members are charming and handsome, but Korean's beauty standard at that moment was much different and less forgiving about "flaws", especially to idols. I remember bts being called an ugly group back then and i wanted to scream everytime people called them "famous because of looks". The amount of rage i had because they were disregarding all their efforts because of looks when back home in their country they still called them "ugly"... man... it's been years and i still remember the frustration sorry for the rant lol

I feel really embarrassed and sorry FOR these KPop groups! I would not want the goal of building MY success to be a carbon copy of another (legendary) band! How does that build any sense of self-esteem and accomplishment?! But unfortunately, these large corporations/agencies don’t actually care about these kids. These companies just can’t stand the fact that BigHit, a tiny, struggling entertainment agency, didn’t play by their rules and were able to (help) build the greatest band of all time (KPop band, if anyone still insists on calling them that), despite the constant attempts of sabotage against them and lack of power and privilege. It would be pathetic and laughable, if it weren’t for the fact that they are doing damage to these kids, emotionally (and sometimes even physically).

For me it is not about their music or their visual or anything external, but their spirituality. Love is a spiritual force. The love that is ignited in our hearts by experiencing their love for one another and for us, then the love of millions flowing back to these 7 souls, is creating a strong, massive wave with the love and connections we as Armies share with one another. We not only love the BTS members, but also experience that love and excitement for Armies, like Celeste for example. We are a family of like-hearted souls. BTS is riding the crest, but it is Army that is the tsunami wave. Ultimately, it is the love of God that is at play here. We as Army and BTS, are only the conduits of this love exponentially flowing to mankind; bringing His love and comfort to many lonely and loveless souls. It is a miracle of grace indeed.

BTS used Carl Jung theories about Self Love. BTS members especially Kim NamJoon are intelectaul thinkers. They read, they are educated people, their lyrics are evidence of that fact. When they talk about Self Love they are talking about real things not some meaningless slogan. They are social thinkers, they delve into subjects and area's that the Kpop industry wouldn't even consider.

I think what sets apart bts from other groups that try to overshadow bts in Asia or the west is that the motivation, the goal is different, the journey is different. what makes bts strong is their journey from the hardships and financial struggles. overcoming those difficulties together as a group only makes them closer and stronger and hungrier to succeed. the hunger was there. its like when you're in a relationship and if you overcome a huge obstacle together it makes you stronger as a couple and you feel closer. other groups, their goal or motivation is almost in vain, just trying to succeed from an advantage like a rich label giving you everything you need from the start to succeed, a bit spoiled, becoming greedy. just wanting to become famous and rich. bts' motivation and goal is more genuine and deeper

BTS was created to represent real artist that really love music Bang has said this A lot of times and if you notice when BTS's videos first came out it used to say real artist or real music something like that. Yes it did have something to do with youth because of how teenagers voices were silence or the just a copy of their Parents, adults in the industry, adults., government and teachers...etc no real self identity. Because if you think about it I believe for me Kpop training is 1 of the hardest training. You go through all this months to years of training just to get selected to do what you love but you don't get to express your own voice.... You're basically the industries & Fandoms puppet/Barbie doll.

Thank you for your reaction to this video omg I love it so much! 💜 I've been an army since 2016, I knew k-pop way before (probably since 2011) but I was not that deep into the industry until I met BTS . Anyway, you guys have been into k-pop since 2003-2006 and noticed all the changes in the industry and how BTS are the trendsetters, even me that basically was there since 2016 have noticed all these changes and lack of originality.. specially in 2017 when BTS got even more popular globally. I think that since they won that BBMAs award everything changed and the other k-pop companies started to focusing more in the numbers how to achieved what BTS did rather than music. Of course there's still good songs in k-pop but you know what I mean. BTS is the standard and they paved the way for sure! (Can't wait to see your reaction with your friends to that video too) The next BTS is BTS.. actually, right now RM is ending BTS lol What I love the most about Bangtan is their artistry and how they are genuinely passionate about music and making their own craft. They don't prioritize numbers and being at the top because that was not even in their plans since the beginning, they just wanted in some way to succeed, spread their messages and touch people's hearts. That's why we Armys ain't not going anywhere. For other k-pop fans may be easy to stop supporting certain artists and right away starting being fans of 10 more but that's not the case with real Armys because the bond we have with BTS is so strong and the love and admiration that we have for them as artists and as humble human beings is something else, it just keeps growing and growing. 🤷‍♀

With all other groups you can give them a pass saying that "Oh! Their company forces them" "They're under contract, they have to." but SuperM members weren't all under SM, they themselves chose to leave their group and become SuperM for the "next BTS" agenda. Also the fans of these other groups will always highlight some stuff to say their artists do their own stuff and express their opinions through lyrics or "shading MAMA during a performance" but they're only helpless when this topic comes up?

Ok, my opinion only.... BTS will never be copied by any group. Yes others can have great singing and dancing but not the brotherhood that BTS shows because it genuine. BTS were kids when they came together and shared a dorm and became Brothers. And it definitely shows by how close they are. Other entertainment companies cannot replicate that especially in the United States because that is not how they operate. They wait for an artist to come to them and show them what they have whereas Korea goes out looking for talent. And then they have them stay in dorms while they teach them things they need to do, and it takes years. United States entertainment companies don't have the time to do that they don't have the money to spend on artists that may not work out. So no it will never be another BTS. Somebody mentioned something that I thought was interesting, and this was a reactor on a different Channel but they were wondering what it would be like if BTS had children and they grew up to be artists and or singers what would that be like. I thought that was an interesting concept because if the kids we're as good as the parents armies would never go away and fandom would be together for them forever. Anyways that is my thoughts on that.

BTS has a story line, are great all around performers, and lyrics and music that give me goosebumps. Plus their dancing esp a couple of them is world class, and they could all be and are now super model beautiful and well groomed. All this comes from who they are as people, that's what the other agencies don't seem to understand or choose to ignore.

Why does anybody have to be labeled "the next" anybody? Every group or artist comes with their own dynamics, their own training, their own chemistry, their own talents. Nobody has to be the next BTS. And quite frankly I really wish other BTS fans would stop acting like a cult. There are so many other talented groups and yes BTS is one of them. Why can't we as people just appreciate music in general and stop worrying about who "the next" will or won't be? Why is it important if another group can't reach BTS level of popularity? Who cares? That doesn't mean they're any less talented or hardworking.

AMEN...however, I think the point of the video is not to downplay any other group's hard work, but it's more to identify a problem within the K-Pop industry and the media, as a whole. My take away from Boracity's video was 1) attaching one group's success to another's is self-defeating, 2) the media needs to stop associating BTS's name to every article about K-Pop and 3) Western music producers need to stop thinking that only Western artists deserve to be on top.

I hope you react to more of her articles. I’m glad you took the time to do so. I like your response. Something else I have noticed that sets BTS apart from other groups and that is each one of them have different sounds but when they all sing together they don’t all sound alike. Their talents are used to the fullest and it makes the color of their music pleasing to the ear. They don’t sound like a high school chorus or barbershop quartet. Other groups to me sing in the same dull note and so they all sound exactly alike no imagination no soul. Bangshyuk encouraged BTS to do them, and since BTS is being themselves, there will never ever be another BTS. BTS never follow anybody, they are busy being them. Even in their solo works, look at the variety of works.

One of the things the industry gets wrong is that they think they can get instant success but it doesn't work that way. It takes time to to grow a fan base, time to produce, time to create BTS grew slowly then hit that point were the growth cover just spiked and keep going. New groups don't do that or they might produce a one hit wonder. The industry will zoom in on on one or 2 things they think oh BTS do this or this and that we just have to replicate those one or two things and our artist will win. Sorry but it doesn't work that way.

You're on point; they want it all now, now, now. And they think there's one magic ingredient, one major success factor, so they go all tunnel vision and get shocked when that's not the key to insta-next-BTS-success. Of course the other thing they constantly get wrong is thinking they can successfully copy originality and creativity. If they'd start with that basic idea, they wouldn't waste time and money trying to redo or outdo the guys who thought 'it' up in the first place. That's half the point of being a legend: the legends can't be duplicated.

If they will break the records then how they will get this sincerity , purity ,talent ,humbleness and love from them. How they will get that pure soul from them.. Noo they can't get. What the media and companies don't understand is that BTS didn't have the mindset of being the next Seo Taji, Big Bang, SuJu, etc. They were competing with themselves and the goals they set themselves.
