The real reason of doing live action is to bring the new people to the manga. One Piece manga is still running. So, the live action writer can't change the story what ever they want. If they change the story a lot, it will ruin all the foreshadowing hints of One Piece manga for the upcoming chapters. One Piece is not the simple adventure story. Some of the important hints from East Blue Saga didn't even reveal in manga yet. One Piece story is already so good for the real massive fan base and why do they even need to change the story for live action of the best selling manga of all time, One Piece. Nobody need to change anything about One Piece story because the author, Oda is the GOAT. OPLA season 1 is really good and the writers didn't change that much about the core elements of One Piece manga. So, it is ok.
