I love how sugar mountain twisted a small tale into something terrifying: The tale: Be honest, and you'll be rewarded... Jojo: ...with treasure that you have to spend to the last cent till dusk or you'll become a plant. The tale: be dishonest, and you won't get anything out of it... Jojo: ...besides getting torn apart by a tree.

The tree stand idea for part 9 seems possible. Since hawaii is know for its koa wood. It's used for things like surf boards, utensils, and building material. The wood means "warrior" in hawaiian. The symbolic nature of koa wood is strength and courage. The stand could be called "over the rainbow". It's a song by iz a famous hawaiian singer. It gives people who treat the tree well a luck boost in their pursuits.
