I never got to play arena, but I'd love if they even just added a way to hang out in the tavern. also the only boots I can find that complete my outfit are the TSD boots, which for obvious reasons I can't get

I mostly played arena when it's closure was announced, and man, I really miss it. The feel of multiple galleons fighting each other, cannonballs flying everywhere and the pure chaos is something Season 8 one on one ship combat cannot ever recreate... I still hope we will get a true Arena 2.0 one day. Voting Sea Dogs on the hourglass, diving to reemerge in the arena and after 15 minute mark diving and reemerging back in the adventure server. I think with how many players played arena before it's closure, and players who started pvp in Season 8, Arena would be a more popular thing than it was before.

All three of the key characters are brilliant even if the lore of the company might be lacking in comparison to the others. Can't wait for the hunters call lore.

Welcome to the Sea Dogs Arena. Crew one of our glorious ships and compete against rivals to earn silver. Seek out glory by following the Sea Dogs beacons. Dig up our chests and some silver will be yours! More silver awaits for those who bring these chests to Sea Dog agents found within the Arena. Damage rival ships and we will also grant you silver. There’s one final way to win silver - send your rivals to the Ferry of the Damned! Beware! Should your ship meet a watery grave it will cost you silver. Once the contest is over, the crew it the most silver will be victorious! All crews are rewarded after a contest, the higher you place the more gold and reputation you will receive. May good fortune and glory await!

The faction had less lore behind it, and we couldn't even talk to each other! But I've experienced a lot of camaraderie among Sea Dogs I've met on the Seas since it closed. I often fly the Good Boy flag on my ship, and it's inspired many conversations about "the good old days." I like to think that the exploits of the players made the lore of the faction. ☺️

Damm.. Could they not just re-work Sea Dogs to be some form of PVE ships waves arena? Or at least Just Transform Sea Dog base to some kind of outpost? What a shame...

Agreed! One cool thing about Sea Dogs Tavern is that captains can buy supplies and voyages from the shipwright!

I may have joined few months after it was shutdown but seeing cosmetics and reading/hearing about what it was at time made me wish I bought game sooner just to experience it, hell, tavern it self as seperate place for players to join and enjoy time there rather then business, not to mention it was different and offered much more then just "here you can deal with Athena and maybe drink some grog". I wish I could experience those stuff rather then to hear. Alas, its no more and I came long after its closure, bearly had chance to even look in to DeMarco's death before they remove that as well. Perhaps they could revive arena if they integrate it to adventure mode? As in allowing people to spectate from distance if they dint sigh up for it? Or allow to place bets (which would be loot one found) and winner would take the loot and some minor Sea Dogs rep but loot could be taken back the second winners leaves? Ideas are planty like people who play SoT. In the end, I wish to be able to visit Sea Dogs Tavern just for moment, couse all I have is hear say of it, almost no videos or screenshots of it.

I don't know if they fixed this, but the weaponsmith at the tavern has Wonda's old dialogue. Or maybe her new dialogue, I have no idea if it's ever changed.

I hope the Sea Dogs return (along with the Dark Brethren) as future hourglass factions. Maybe they could award silver for victories instead of allegiance? ☺️ And bonus gold like an emissary flag so people will actually risk using the hourglass in adventure!

I think it would be cool if they turned the tavern into a outpost that only has a sovereign tower. It might be a little silly with the reapers hideout so close however

Arena was such a fun mode, but the matchmaking made it unplayable. This is the reason noone played it. I know there's others shall we say politics, but that's the facts,

It was also poorly designed, rewarding you much more for just hitting cannonballs anywhere than actually sinking ships and handing in chests.
