I used to take my late Mom grocery shopping every Tuesday. We always saw the fire truck parked in front of Kroger. When inside, we enjoyed watching all the cute firemen shopping.

My brother, fireman/EMT, CAREFLIGHT dispatch.....lol, we were at grandmas 4th July party, sitting in a lawn chair in the garage watching the kids playing the trees.. we heard an ambulance like weeeYouweeYou and he casually/straight faced goes, "apartment opened up" I've never been more proud 🥲😊

I have taught my children... you never discuss anything of importance with a text. They are easily misunderstood, you can't tell the tone... Text's are for, "Hey I'm at McDonalds, when will be you here" or "have a good day". A family discussion or close relationship deserves the "one on one".

According to city officials: Firefighters make their own meals in the fire house and therefore need to shop groceries. This is an on duty activity which means when an emergency is dispatched they drop everything and respond no matter where they are...and firefighters always have the fire engine with them.

My mother dated a fireman for years. She met him while working at a grocery store. They ALWAYS bring the truck and if they get a call, the clerk puts their cart into the walk-in and they go to the call. They also do their own cooking. So I guess they need to have a private chef if we follow that logic.

I had that throat issue and my GP said it’s heartburn. I had no idea it could be taken care with a Prilosec. It was bugging me and I’m sure others, but so glad to know it’s a manageable problem.

OMG, I was so embarrassed when i flew from La. to Ct. with my husband and nephew. He was 12, he had toxic gas! I had brought granola bars as snacks. We got stuck on the runway for a while. Anyway he had some granola bars. It was horrible! The whole flight and change, then in the rental car. Come to find out he had stayed overnight at my mom's house. He had bean burritos, an apple, and BOILED EGGS. He's 23 now and we still talk about it. ☠ ✈

Anytime there's a fire truck at my local grocery store, I know my eye candy moments are gonna rise! Plus I've never seen any of them in less then professional garb while shopping. It's good for the community to see them doing regular daily tasks, let the littles see them as people and the truck in a non-emergency mode.

My adult son would do the same as Pete when he smells a body smell! Even in Target! He will call out, “Oh my God!” And I laugh AND cover my nose and mouth too!! 😂😂😂 (My gosh, Pete is handsome, so glad he’s happily married and has a great family!) Pete I love your best friend advice! And it’s not about the ‘Cast’ as Pete said. Constructive criticism is a thing. Sebastian you described exactly what your parents were saying about seeing things differently sometimes. You haven’t seen parental problems until you have your days filled with sick parents.
