The movement of thought that goes by the name of 'Phenomenology' is closely linked to the name of its initiator: Edmund Husserl. During the 20th century, it had important repercussions in many areas of knowledge including #theology with the likes of Martin Heidegger and Romano Guardini.
Phenomenology was born between 1900 and 1901 with the two-volume work 'Logical Investigations'. It spread first in Germany, and then in the 1920s in France. After the pause of existentialism, Phenomenology was revived in the 1950s when unpublished works by Husserl were printed.
