What if xatu isn’t ticklish but is laughing because what happened was actually not part of any vision he had for the future. And he’s laughing at the absurdity of it? Like maybe it gave him some hope that the future can be changed through present actions? I think that could be interesting. Also what if xatu saw the true ending all along but simply had to tell the player character and their partner that the future was in ruin so they’d kick into gear and help stop it. Introducing a character who can see into the future is a very interesting choice haha a lot you can do with it. Although I don’t think we don’t know the extent of his abilities or how many possibilities he can see.

@24:46 My theory with this is that while these legendary and mythical pokémon don't have biological sex (called gender in the core series for rating/simplification), allowing them to reproduce sexually, they do experience gender identities. These aren't catalogued in the human world for multiple reasons. Certainly because many humans would see no practical use for the information, but also because most human researchers can't communicate with pokémon effectively enough (especially rare or legendary ones) to discern their gender. However, in the Mystery Dungeon world, all pokémon can communicate with each other as equals, and fully express their personalities, thus revealing their experienced gender -- if they have one. The only catching point for me on this is Manaphy, as to my recollection they just assign him male pretty soon after hatching. Not sure what to make of that one, but there are many possible explanations and the real answer at the end of the day is that the game designers almost certainly didn't intend any of this and as such wouldn't have considered how Manaphy's gender came to be known. 😅

I'm enjoying this so far! Just two quick things: 1) I'm having trouble hearing your video in general. I've got the sound up higher than usual on my computer to fully hear the video, and if I were to be in a noisy area or doing something loud like dishes or something, I'd have an incredibly hard time hearing you. Perhaps turn up the volume on your future videos just a tad? 2) Referring to the WiiWare games, some of the treasures collections in Super Mystery Dungeon are named after previous titles, the Ancient Treasures Collection. You've got your standard Red and Blue Looplets, and your Time, Darkness, and Sky Looplets, but the last three are called the Radiance, Tempest, and Wildfire Looplets! I figured this out after obtaining all the Ancient Treasures and looking at their names. ...Although you gotta wonder where the Gates Looplet is.

Mt. Bristle's treasure is likely a rumor, it can't be a Time gear due to there only being 5 time gears with 3 being being at the lake guardians' respective lakes, 1 in Treeshroud Forest and the last one accidentally found by Team Charm in Limestone Cavern. Whether humans exist in the pokemon world differ from game to game. humans either came from another world(as the main Hero in pmd1 and gates came from another world), from the future(like the Hero in pmd 2) or from some far away unknown land. There is another human in the first mystery dungeon game that was Gardevoir's partner meaning either humans do exist in the mystery dungeon world or Gardevoir came from another world with her partner.

I wouldn't say it couldn't be a Time Gear. It's never stated there's only 5, only that 5 are needed to repair Temporal Tower. At the start of the game, a Time Gear in a volcano is mentioned, and it's never seen. Plus, even after the 5 are collected, time hasn't stopped in Treasure Town or the area around Brine Cave, so those areas probably have their own Time Gears.

@MirrorHall_Clay remember the time gears themselves were always shrouded in mystery to keep their locations unknown from the general public, so obviously, there would be rumors of their locations as the "volcano time gear" rumor was told by your own partner and the image that is shown with it is from dark crater itself which is where darkrai presumably resided so how come neither he, palkia, cresselia or even the hero or partner saw it there in person? Because there never was one. As for brine cave it can easily be chalked up to because likely being one of the last locations to be paralyzed aside from temporal tower and the hidden land as it's the actual passage towards the sea of time which leads to those locations. As for treasure town? Well unless the kecleon brothers aren't telling us something, theres no way a time gear is hidden there when the best possible hiding locations(sharpedo bluff and the hallow cliff the wigglytuff's guild is built in) are lived in locations. Treasure town's paralysis was even shown in the pmd Sky Anime special, so yeah, it's not about if a location will be paralyzed, but when.

31:30 so is Darkrai from the future too? If he is why doesn’t he disappear just like Grovile, Dusknoir, and the main character?

it isn't clear whether darkrai is from the future or not but regardless it seems he was able to travel through time through a portal he somehow he was able to create? he most likely isn't from the future but if he was he would return anyway as all the pokemon in the future survive as shown in grovyle's special episode

Wow, given my only exposure to this series was the DX remake and the anime its pretty dark with all that doomed future stuff. This was aimed at children? I mean the whole fake out vanish of the main character is dark enough. Also I'd like to clarify its pronounced arch-ee-us. Granted I'm no better since that one Pokémon movie pronounced it Arse-ee-us and I assumed that was right. LOL! I really love how soothing these are to listen to. While at the same time engaging and informative to keep my attention. Ever thought about reading books to children? You have such narration skills. :)
