Apply for every scholarship you can possibly find. Get as many jobs as it takes. Be responsible and work hard in school and work and everything else you do. And stop sitting around complaining about how no one is handing you a free ride in life. I worked my way up from having literally nothing and put myself through college and graduate school, and it is so frustrating to see so many people whining about how hard it is to succeed and blaming everyone but themselves. You are the captain of your own ship. Step up and be a functional member of society and don't expect life to be fair or for anyone to give you handouts.

I am diagnosed with Asperger's, and prior to the start of term, I was promised assistance, counseling. I never got it, so I tried getting by on my own. Ultimately, I couldn't make it and was forced to withdraw, and now even though it's only half my tuition, I'm $23,000 in debt with a minimum wage paying job. Sorry if that offends you, but these days, college isn't always a good choice. It was certainly the worst decision I ever made. Hard work can get you pretty far, but there are more factors involved. I'm intelligent, I work my ass off, but in reward for that, my credit is ruined and I'm broke. Quit assuming everyone can make it with nothing but an iron will. That's wishful thinking and an ignorant way to think. Maybe we should stop getting kids' hopes up and think realistically, because college just isn't always a logical choice.

And when your making good money then you relax in your moderate house doing what you want. I went to Stanford and majored in bioengineering. I make good money. (And I'm not gonna say my income). But just because you had a shitty one term of collage dosent give you the right to go and say don't go to collage you'll be in debt. May some be in debt but not all

+matthias19850 you do know that if you work hard enough at mcd's and long enough you become store manager and they build a store for you to run?..they have full benefits and everything once you become just a normal manager, i live in canada, my brother is a manager at 2 mcdonalds in ottawa and he makes about 23$ an hour and its only going to raise...i'd say thats a pretty good paying job
