Hurrah! Finally, someone who is actually telling the truth 🎉 It's the same with writing, people need to stop being "Trendy Tracy's " because by the time you get onto the trend you are already too late. Stop playing the game of, "who is regurgitating the best?" and think about who you are creating an experience for. As a shopper on Etsy, most people on Etsy are looking for something unique that looks like someone put thought into it.

Dylan, I can see your business building plan is excellent. But here's the thing for me - I LIKE making t-shirts. Yes, I have fallen into the Everbee game, but I also have lots of original creations. Am I selling a lot? No, or I wouldn't be listening to a marketing expert for advice. Is there room for me in your program>

Would you say your against print on demand completely? My wife and I use it to place the drone photographs we capture of our travels. Canvases…journals…blankets…mousepads. Personally I take a lot of pride in these pictures…just not sure how profitable they can be

Here's the real truth. Etsy is not long term consistency. They can and will shutdown your shop at any moment AND not even give you any reason. You want to quit your job for that??

And put you on reserve forever and hold your money... so many right now in reserve with thousands of dollars being held by etsy. The gurus never address this. They just keep encouraging people to use etsy. I think they all get paid by etsy to promote the platform and NOT discuss how badly etsy treats sellers. There's a few groups organizing lawsuits. Many are leaving etsy. ...don't waste your time on etsy.

@@donbentley2207 Yes, I think that's why Etsy is not transparent about why they close a shop. I think it can depend on how strict the person doing the review is. If they told you why they shut you down, it would be easy to see how the rules are not applied consistently and equally.

So after I've read up and been told to have a proper niche now I don't need one? Im so confused. Every Etsy person on KZfaq says so many different outcomes to making your Etsy shop successful I kinda wish everyone just gave the same information. Who do you trust? 🤔 I loved your videos and they are simple and make sense but then your going against what someone else says who also makes sense and has helped my shop 🤣 again I don't know who or what information to take onboard.

Hello, Dylan. Do you know S.C. who made 2.5 millions on Etsy ? In a video he said he followed the bestsellers (in a niche) and tried to add them value, making them even better; he also makes personalization ( he recently released a software ). What do you think about this ? What was wrong in his strategy ?

I can answer from my perspective of watching his latest challenge...I didn't know who he was, prior to a month ago. , but I was curious. If his t-shirt business is so great and sustainable over his lifetime he wouldn't be doing youtube videos promoting his new software and hawking seo tools. There is more $$$$ in the "people wanting to start a pod business" now than random people wanting to buy general POD t-shirts - he rode that wave just like he rode the mask wave during covid he is an opportunity entrepreneur.

@@bosslifebeauty Yes, but then no other internet gurus would make You Tube Channels. Are you saying if they are successful with PoD they wouldn't do you tube channels? I do not believe this. The money has to come from as many sources as possible. This guy has employees, so he's doing great, I guess. But of course, it's better to find something that helps new sellers in their dreams of POD business success because people, as Dylan said, are willing to pay their money when they think it's an investment, not an expense. So he and his friend will boost and upscale their businesses. Plus, POD is so saturated that it will be increasingly difficult to be successful here.
