Good to see Bianca taking care of herself and taking her breaks when needed. Glad she fell back in love with tennis. May she continue to figure out what works best for her mentally, physically and spiritually.

Your greatest strength is your mind set, i see a natural born fighter, with high mental stamina, thats something that you can't really teach. I love watching your game, especially when you begin to study your opponent and star mixing up your game. Your a natural, hurry back, heal and know you have alot of support.

i really love how her mother responds to bianca saying she used to be skinny by saying she didn't have a lot of muscles and that now she looks like an athlete. this is the correct and healthy perspective to instil in your child and its so important as a mother to not feed the negative self-talk their daughters have (altho i cannot be certain bianca was saying it to be negative). all mothers should be like this

I wonder what it is about tennis today that sees so many young players decide to take a 'mental break' and move away from the tour. Osaka, Andreescu and now Anisimova have all done that over the the last few years. I grew up watching Serena, Venus, Hingis, Henin, Capriati, Clijsters and Davenport, and it just was unheard of back then.
@lizzy341
@lizzy341 11 ай бұрын
Henin had problem, she quit multiple times, also stayed a very cold person to handle the media pressure bcz of issues created by her father and her divorce. How did Capriati handle it??? Her life has been a disaster after her ex filed complaint for domestic abuse, then her constant drug problem. Kim never achieved much and became mom at 23 and retired , hingis misbehaved and was called a trouble maker, she had cocaine problems too, then cleaned up and dominated the doubles game. Venus and Serena were very clear abt how much they played and they controlled the narrative, they had warning after the indian wells and knew they had to be careful. Also great close family were a blessing. So all of them struggled.

The mental health stuff usually starts when they stopped winning after some initial success. They don't have the mental resilience to cope with losing. Too much ego, self-doubt creeps in, negative thoughts take over. They start convincing themselves with things like "I'm not having fun anymore". It's why they say it's easier to get to the top than to stay there.

Hopefully that helps her recover and enable her to enjoy a injury-free career. It would be a huge loss for tennis if she suffers the same fate that Juan Martin Del Potro did. He too won the US Open at a young age and was projected to win many more, but endless strings of injuries derailed his once promising career.
@ricklee5845
@ricklee5845 11 ай бұрын
@@jcpenny3606 Often people don't realise just how much of a mental game tennis is. Hatha Yoga does not only heal and tone the body, it also affects the mind tremendously if it is practiced correctly. So we hope Bianca's injury will heal completely and then we can start again. Delpo was indeed a sad case. One of the nicest guys on tour but as you mentioned, injuries put a stop to his career. According to studies that have been made, there are bodies in tennis that are more suitable than others. Sampras and Federer had the ideal measurements and weight because basically they were not too tall, not too short, not too heavy and not too light. It makes sense. So Del Potro, Isner and Karlovic are certainly not ideal. Del Potro was the only one out of these three who won a slam. Isner had a lot of problems with minor injuries and Karlovic had figured out how to not get himself into danger by playing it save. He relied entirely on his serve which was the most feared in men's tennis most of the time.

I had a feeling that after she won all those top level events, then disappeared, that it overwhelmed her, and she needed to draw back and gather herself, bc she had become scattered, mentally.

You articulated succinctly what I have felt so strongly about the current generation. I feel that this scattered state of mind has taken hold of most of civilization at the moment. I hope we rise above it soon. We will. Thank you for your comment.

@@miguelcunanan9855 thnx. but what is happening to civilization currently unfortunately will not get better; its actually the bk of revelation unfolding in front of our eyes. with evil pervading, seeping at an accelerated rate, into all venues of society, looks whats happening even in our elementary schools, the drag qeens and sxl grooming of kids, rampant political evil doings; the mass foisted poke on society that now turns out is totally ineffective and definitely not for the health of the masses, quite the opposite...

Bianca Andreescu...I like her style if play... And I don't think she has ever argued with umpire .2019 to 2023.should have been her rising years but unfortunately she is getting injuries. She need not go for difficult shots by which she brings upon her injuries. Steffi Graf should be her ideal .

Every Tennis Fan has a Favorite. You either Love Bianca or you don't. She won the US Open , Indian well which is considered a Premier event and Rogers cup , That was very special to her. She could easily Represent Romania but Tennis Canada stuck with her and supported her and she is a Humble person. She has always taken the time out to show her love and thank the Romanian people for their support. There are many players who ditched Canada to Represent other Countries. The word ditched sounds harsh but in Reality the Country you play for means a lot now , probably more than ever. Pride , Patriotism , Bianca supported her team when she was recovering from injury. Bianca Elevated the Sport of Tennis in Canada. Canada has The Worlds best up and comming Female Surfer Reppin Canada and she is only 15🤟Tennis Courts are springing up all over Canada. Canada is no longer just a Hockey nation. Bibi is Young and has a Bright Future in Front of her. Canada is Going to the BJK Finals I Hope to see GB there as well.

I enjoy Bianca's crafty game but she's just too much of a drama queen for me. This vlog is a perfect example, too much "me me me I need to love myself it's not all about results". Unfortunately if you are a professional athlete, it IS all about the results. Fun and happiness comes from winning. Without that competitive fire, you won't go far. Ask Sabalenka what's most important to her, I'm pretty sure she'll say "winning". Same with Serena and Sharapova, who said in her book that she just wanted to beat everybody, even after winning 5 slams. Without that single minded focus and hunger, you won't be a multi slam champion. I pray Emma will never start talking about "mental health"🙏.

No,I don't believe you'll ever win another slam.Your focus is blurred,your ability to finish has left you. Your latest match at the Rome open, that is the real you. You haven't been on the pro circuit for very long. But you have inherited the nickname" drama queen" for quite some time already I know this isn't gonna go down very well with your fans but hey everyone has their opinion and I really don't think I'm that far off, if at all.And I'll go one step further. I used to be a fan but I haven't been in quite some time because I saw where this was heading. Your cherished win at the u s open was only because williams got sick and had to leave. But don't feel bad you've made more money than you need. So you can actually quit tennis now and feel the love for yourself and go write another book.
