I do agree that having an emulation device is good for versatility’s sake I had a Miyoo Mini + for a bit and didn’t use it as much as I thought I would so got rid of it, traded it for a DS Lite actually. That handheld with an R4 card equipped allows for so much gaming on 1 device it’s honestly insane You could also go the route of using the same R4 card in a 3DS for even more potential. DS and 3DS are still very hard to get right, even if the device is powerful enough to run them flawlessly For that reason, a DS/3DS is the go to for all my pocketable emulation needs

All I need is a dedicated game room with 3 CRTs for every retro console that I have ever played or enjoyed, and also an OLED modern TV with a PS5, Switch, and Series X ready to go at a moments notice. Now my interests cycle, as they always have and always will, and it matter not!

I’ve taken a step backwards, as a teacher / coach I have summer off “mostly”…. But as my daughter naps I find myself gravitating to my switch, Botw, animal crossing, even the Spyro the dragon trilogy. I have so many switch back log games, and I’m looking forward to using my handheld this summer.

Even though the Steam Deck can emulate basically everything. I love having a separate smaller device like the RG35XXSP for the portability, long battery life, and nostalgic feel. I am with you on this being a fantastic combo of devices. Cool thing is that they can all be docked to a screen. I primarily play handheld but it is nice to have the option.

My go to handhelds are now my new Analogue Pocket (I love it) and I alternate between my launch model Steam Deck or ROG Ally depending on the game and whether or not I will have access to a power jack. 😂After getting the Analogue Pocket I now only take it to work with those games and sleep mode being perfect for short work breaks. Have really been enjoying playing The Urbz Sims in the City again. On a side note, as someone who was diagnosed with Fatty Liver Disease recently at 32 yrs old and wants to quit Mt Dew (since I think it is the biggest culprit) I really appreciate you putting the coffee gear links in the description so I can make the switch fully. Your coffee brewing process is always satisfying to watch 👌🏻✌️

For me, the nostalgia is very deep rooted in the physical format. I’ve tried so hard to like emulators on PC or handhelds (including the SD), but there is nothing like grabbing the SNES controller, cartridges or my DS lite and playing. Although I really like some Switch games, especially Mario Wonder en the OLED, I really despise their Joycons.

As a father of 2 i can't be sitting for hours in the TV when the kids wanna play with me... My gaming moment are usually at night before going to be and the last thing i want is to be restrain to a tv im order to unwind. Thats why I love my switch, its convenient and play well enough for me, I also owned a modded 2DS to play older titles and I just got my rg35xx plush in the mail today.

My loadout looks a little bit different. I work from home and my PC which I use for work is also a gaming PC, so my Steam Deck sees very little use. I've considered selling it, but it doesn't take up enough space to motivate me to do so. That said, I prefer to play on Nintendo Switch 99% of the time. My gaming PC is reserved for a smattering of Capcom and Square Enix games that are not available on Nintendo Switch. Things like Final Fantasy XIV and modern Resident Evil titles (because I'm not playing them via Cloud). Beyond my Nintendo Switch, I have a 2DS XL with Bravely, Metroid, Zelda, and Atlus games on it (and a few miscellaneous titles too) as well as a PS Vita with Vanillaware titles, exclusives, and some PS1 titles like my beloved Dino Crisis and Parasite Eve series. Those are my version of the RG35XXSP since I don't bother with emulation. Those devices represent what I would call my loadout. I do own a PS3 and a PS5 as well. The PS3 I will probably sell eventually. The PS5 is solely used for the rare game I can't play through Steam (Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy XVI) since I don't want multiple PC launchers. I won't sell the PS5 though because my wife plays it semi-regularly. She enjoys the couch/TV experience best.

Been loving your videos and I look forward to them everyday. 😊 I'm a SAHM, and I find the Switch Lite and PC to be the optimal setup for me. Like you, I am searching for gaming minimalism. I've been tempted to get an Anbernic but I can emulate on my PC already, so it's hard to justify! We still have a PS5 for my son and couch co-op with my husband on date nights, but for my personal loadout, it's just Switch and PC.

I’ve paired down to my PS5 and Steamdeck, with 80% of my playtime being on the deck. There’s just not enough time to play everything, so it’s better to hone in on the experience that feels most aligned to and revitalizing for the soul. I honestly think I could let go on the PS5 and only use the steam deck. It feels perfect for minimalists like me-versatile play in a single smaller device.

My setup right now is an Xbox Series X that I got on sale for $350 and a Switch OLED $350 - I would be tempted to minimize my gaming setup and sell the Xbox, but my Series X gets a lot of use watching KZfaq. I like knowing I can subscribe to game pass for a month if my friends want to play a multiplayer game together and then just cancel my membership. Also, they don't have "Age of Empires II" on Switch xD

At this point....my main gaming paltform has been my Oneplus 10T phone, which has a very good SOC, and a Gamesir controller that connects via USB type C for the past two months. I never been more content, playing 3DS games at a higher resolution than 240p and Gamecube/PS2 games on the go.

I have all the consoles and so many games. But I don’t play them since being mobile is important to me. Steam Deck for indies or streaming from PC for higher fidelity games. Switch hasn’t been used in ages but I have a ton of games I want to play on it. Use my miyoo mini the most since it’s in my pocket. Kinda like the old saying goes, your best camera is the one on you.

100% the most optimized and efficient loadout anyone could have. Simultaneously in dollars to titles available, as well as form factor. the one things you cant do with those consoles its play DS and 3DS games in a way that feels right. For that reason i would have to add a 2ds and maybe even a DS lite. There was so many great games for those consoles, and its so easy to homebrew them, you can just put ever game you want on them and have tons of options.

I’m curious. What’s more likely for you take on a daily basis or when you plan to travel. I know some games on steam deck require a WiFi connection which it’s a bummer.

I personally also have this minimizing bug, but I’m actually trying to fight it. I do it too much. I’ve got this same set up for the handhelds, and my PS5 & desktop PC. That isn’t the most minimal, but the more I try to cut away - the more games and save files/progress gets lost on the fringe. Anyway, I’m not losing Bloodborne I need the ps5 for that at all times.

I have all consoles and picked up an oled steam deck and haven't really played them since . My current is SD oled ,rg405m, switch for certain titles . I'm waiting on the miyoo sp version to see which one I want 405m us just so premium feeling .

I am currently a solo steam deck user. I have an xbox one and PS4 that I am thinking about selling they haven't been turned on in over 6 months. I am trying to decide between a PC or PS4 as a secondary device. , I love the idea of only having one library but not the price tag of building a decent rig.

I rarely use my XBox S and XBox One. I also have not used my PS4 in over a year. I game on SwitchLite and PC pretty much ONLY. Both Consoles have nothing coming out that makes me want to buy the NEXT XBox or PlayStation. I can get it on PC, which will always give you the MOST options.

Steam deck blurs the line between console and pc imo because if one were to look at windows handhelds, Rog ally, legion go, claw . They give a sort of pc experience in handheld form. And navigating windows in that form is terrible or so I've heard. I am waiting to see what's xbox and playstation handheld will look like

*The* *Acolyte* *Episode* *3:* *Destiny* Before I saw this episode, I had a feeling if this didn’t deliver and it was worse than the first two, I would tune out and not watch the rest. The Boys S4 is coming out with 3 episodes on Thursday. This episode surprisingly got me hooked just enough to watch the rest. It’s not bad. I’ll give it an 8 or maybe if I can use one-tenths, a 7.7. I expect more comedy roast from The Critical Drinker because it’s WOKE. I was actually going to give up wearing my Andor hat every Tuesday had this episode been crap. Would’ve worn my House Targaryen sigil and Team Daemon hat more instead. But I guess Ep 3 got me hooked enough to watch the rest of this series. At least we didn’t see Mae meeting Megan Thee Stallion in a forest and twerking next to her at the end of Ep 3. Did The Acolyte’s Ep 3 break Star Wars? No. Was it great? No. Was it terrible? No. It answered enough questions for now that will make me tune in again next week. But I just scrubbed back to the scene when we see all the witches dead. When Osha entered that underground tunnel, something happened between the Jedis vs. that witch coven. You can hear a scream from the witches as if something fell on them when Osha looks up. I think Mother Aniseya was a standout character to me. Jodie Turner-Smith gave her this compassion that I enjoyed watching. She gave Osha her choice. Her love for them is similar to how Sol treats Osha. And she had this screen presence I enjoyed. She gave me vibes of Angela Bassett in the two Black Panther movies. I actually thought Jodie had a bigger screen presence than Carrie-Anne. But it was great to see more of Indara. I do think Indara not recognizing Mae in the opening scene of the first episode makes her look stupid. Osha and Mae have the same exact hairstyle from 16 years ago. Does Indara happen to know a lot of Black females with that hairstyle? And I guess Indara didn’t have much guilt compared to the other 3 Jedis there if she couldn’t recognize Mae as quickly while Torbin recognized Mae instantly. The two young actresses portraying Osha and Mae were a little weak in their performances especially young Osha. Gave me Jake Lloyd vibes. I can overlook that the two actresses are not identical twins. It’s obvious they’re supposed to portray identical twins but the two young actresses do not look related. The acting at the end felt amateurish. “Mama’s dead. What did you do?” That exchange at the falling bridge felt clunky. I believe a scene right before we saw all the witches laying on the floor will be shown in a later episode. A confrontation must have happened although we don’t hear lightsabers being drawn. We see no slash marks. But the Jedis are obviously hiding something. Why would Torbin commit suicide? And what a 16 years of a guilt trip that was if it made him balding when he still had a lot of hair in Brendok. That last 5 minutes felt a little sloppy and confusing since they don’t want to show us what the Jedis did to those witches. The most interesting lines in the episode and the one everyone should be talking about came from an exchange between Mother Koril and Mother Aniseya. This adds even more mystery…. Koril: I carried them. Aniseya: I *created* them. Koril: And what happens if the Jedis discover how you created them? The actress who portrays Koril is a hottie, btw. Don’t be fooled by all that Zabrak makeup on her. Look her up: Margarita Levieva. She’s portraying a Zabrak like Darth Maul and Jecki but Maul was Zabrak *Dathomirian* while Jecki and Koril are Zabrak *Iridonian.* So I read what that exchange all meant in multiple articles. The twins are Force dyads? So the reason why the Jedis were in the hunt for them was because they were in search for the Sith? Mother Aniseya must have got a Sith Lord to learn how to create life while Koril carried them in her womb? My theory is the 4 Jedis discovered how Aniseya created them and perhaps Indara or Torbin attacked them first. Something is rotten in Denmark and the Jedis are lying to Osha on what really happened *moments* before Sol found her and rescued her from falling. I will say young Mae is my least favorite character so far. She’s annoying. Why can’t she let her sister do what she wants? I’m more on Team Osha now. Older Mae was my favorite from the first two episodes but not anymore. She acted selfish by not supporting her twin sister on what she really wanted in her life. To Verosha, in the words of Martin Lawrence, YOU GO GIRL! Stop being a ho, Mae-ho! *Force* *dyad?* After reading the articles, it’s because Mae is part of the dark side of this dyad similar to Ben while Osha is part of the light side similar to Rey. This hints of Plagueis since he learned how to create life. How Anakin was created was not similar to how Aniseya created those twins using dark magic that a Sith knew. This is probably why those 4 Jedis attacked them first but it’s still not shown to us yet and aren’t telling Osha the entire truth. In this period, the Sith were presumed extinct. Funny how Wakanda Forever wasn’t hated as much. It’s fine to have a predominantly Black cast in MCU but not in Star Wars. With Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith needs to be remade over and over again to please these Prequel fans. Same white guy hero great with a lightsaber. That’s the type of Star Wars they want. I have my ps5, which i wont get rid of because i still want to play some things like horizon forbidden west. However, probably 80% of my gaming time is spent on the steam deck oled and switch oled. I have 2 year old twins and my wife is 7 month pregnant again, so i need to stay near them at night in case they wake up or whatever. Im thinking i might get a pc instead of a ps6 because the steamdeck has opened my eyes to how good steam is, plus ill keep my library and sales.

I could do without the Switch. Their first party lineup this gen has been disappointing. I feel like this is the gen that Nintendo lost their magic.
