"Do it, Dad - do it." That season of Carl was kind of creepy, at times. All I could think of at the time was he's a mix of Woody from Toy Story and Chucky😂

The world creates two kinds of people. Villains and heroes, a Villain thinks they are a Hero, a Hero has to be a villain sometimes..

It would be cool to see how Negan Laura and the doctor got into the saviors and then went bad and took over became a dictator Nature is tough but humans are the only ones that kill for fun, not just survival.

Rick always had his family to keep him grounded...Shane only starting going wild when he "lost" his new found family ,Carl and Laurie. Negan lost Lucille, Governor lost penny and that probably had alot to do with them going to the dark side. Without a family, kids, or a family like group it seems easier to lose your humanity..I think Carl def a great morale journey. Morgan prob right up there with her

I would say we are all shaped by our circumstances, but our choices are our own. Gareth and the people from Terminus could be seen as a good example. He was a good person in the beginning, but after witnessing the horrific occupation of his home and the mass-r*** of the women of his community, including his mother, he chose to become the most ruthless and dangerous person in the apocalypse. He could have still chosen to go back after all the trauma and horror he experienced, but he chose not to.

Yeah. Choices are often made by circumstance and environment. They just were dealt a bad hand

You can be anywhere in that universe, and the answer is the same. You may know it and can do it from day 1 or have to learn to do it. The answer is "Eliminate the threat." You have to survive. People rely on you to stay alive. Walkers are always a theat. They need to feed and anyrhkngget anything to feed on the living. The living have a choice, fight or surrender to peace. Most choose to be a threat for their survival. Some choose another path. That path can't always be followed, and war begins. We are the product of our choices and the choices of others.

Still, it is cruel that Negan, no matter his past, murdered Glenn, one of the few people truly trying to hold on to be moral. Glenn had plenty moments to crossover to the dark side, but refused.

Enjoyed video! Morality is differently a hard road on this show and I think you summed it up really well. It’s interesting to see how one decision affects a whole group of people and how that shapes them. How they learn from that and what they do next. And how they grow as person. That is what I like about this show & what keeps me watching this show over & over. I think a lot has to do with the people we put our trust in also shapes those decisions. Would Rick have given Michonne to Gov if Hershel wasn’t there to say do you think that is right? Children are forced to become adults before they need to be because of what they see & decision they have to make. And you find yourself appreciating times more when they are just being kids because it doesn’t happen very often. Like Carl on roof eating pudding. Morality is strong message told in this series & an important one!

Morality gives you good base unspoken rules for a society. If there is no society however, there is no benefit to follow morals

Negan's rule is good for creating an organasied society quickly (the saviours and Virginia with the Pioneers). It's not sustainable however. We've seen it in history and even in the show, the biggest communities - Portland and Omaha are democratically run, not a dictatorship

INCREDIBLE VIDEO AND TOPIC, JAMES!! Great questions and self-introspect. I love Negan's redemptive arc. It reminds me in the Bible of Saul becoming Paul--going from a murderer to a supporter/helper.

The ends justify the means is actually immoral. One thing that I have issues with is all this suicide ( Andrea, Jenner, Jacquie, Eastman and Carl) it’s terrible!
@TWDExplained
@TWDExplained Ай бұрын
Do you think it is different with a mortally wounded person than a non-wounded person? Or are you speaking more from a "suicide is wrong" no matter the circumstance?

@@TWDExplained if you really believe all that God has revealed it means accepting the death that God sends you. There is redemption in the suffering. Or Christ would not have said “ take up your cross and follow me” If you stop the suffering, you will go to hell..you can count on it. Andrea, Carl both had a sense of pride in them…they both said they needed to do it themselves. After living hell on earth, with zombies eating people, I think it would change you, and you definitely would not want to live in hell for all eternity. But I guess they did. It is not ok to commit a sin for a greater good. The only suicide that is a gray area is Earls death. Although He didn’t trust God at all, He was doing it to protect the children but it didn’t work. Judith still had to kill him. It’s interesting that mainstream Hollywood would show that but there it is. Suicide is never ever ok!

clearly, as in most films, or video games, the antagonist is usually the one who puts the human species before everything, while our protagonist friends are willing to screw up the entire history of humanity for their ego, for their group, like the last of us for example. as for twd, the saviors, the crm, they were the right way to restore order but our boys always find a way to destroy everything
