I weigh in (literally) on about 6 beefsteak type tomatoes. Did I get that two pounder? Did I get 2 two pounders? I show you a couple varieties you may want to grow based on size. The Bradywine Yellow, Aunt Ruby's German Green, Boxcar, Neves Azorean Red, Todd County Amish and my favorite for size and flavor the Aussie.

I enjoyed your video and congratulations on your success. As a much younger tomato grower, I always wanted to grow the largest tomato on the block but, many years later, I now put the highest premium on the tomato with the best flavor regardless of the size or the appearance.

Gary Pilarchik Well, my Brandywine maters were a beautiful pinky colour. I don't know the exact variety of Brandywine the envelope was marked just Brandywine. I'm a fan of this variety, I have a very small garden and I probably got 25 lbs+, which was alot I think for my small garden. I canned 3 qts, 29 pints, 4 half pts. Will get us thru the winter. I was consistently getting pound and half tomatoes from my Mushroom Basket variety, planting the plants 12-18" apart. So last year I was intentional, setting plant by itself, it had feet of room, and I allowed it to vine out on the ground to pull all the soil nutrients it needed. Didn't even get a pounder on it, nor more than five tomatoes! Trying again this year, wish me luck!

Hi my Darling i hope you are well. We have grown Tomatoes for the first time. Our seedlings were put in the final Pot a few days ago. Yesterday we noticed a few white spots on the leaves so the seedling was taken out as we do not want the Powdery Mildew to go to the other seedlings, i think that is what it is. Would you have any advice incase we have anymore the same. I really enjoy your Vlogs. When they were watered we try and make sure the water went under the leaves. We only have it on 1 seedling, the soil could have jumped up lol. We have planted some Basil as we all know they go together well in cooking x I have read not to Fertilize until the yellow flowers, woukd a fish frertilizer be good to use. In England we are unable to buy that famius Tea you and KaliKim use. Amazon here do not seem to selll it x

Enjoyed your weigh -in show. I have ordered some seed of some so-called giant tomatoes. Giant Belgium, Brandywine suddath's, Big zac[op] Big zac[f3] , Domingo . This last one domingo is relatively new to north america. I cant even find any extra info about it online about it only yahoo images. But I was sent info with the seed packet telling you that this is an heirloom grown by a family in Italy, along with a sample photo of a Tom in the 4 1/2 lb class. Besides that I received an excess of Belgium seed so Im doing a late season trial run with my brother to see what this plant may do providing weather holds out. They are now ready to put in ground.
