Күн бұрын

In this video, I explore the ruins of the haunted Summerwind mansion (also known as the Lamont mansion) in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin and tell the scary story of the paranormal events that occurred in the home on West Bay Lake. The mysterious Summerwind haunting began in the 1920s and continued all the way into the 1980s when the house was destroyed by a fire.

I've seen different programs on SummerWinds, it was a beautiful mansion, I've lived in a few haunted houses in my 65 years, the one that actually creeped me out was an old 2 story house we lived in when I was in high school. it was called Old Man Proctor's, the house was a green wooden house, the shed that had the washer and dryer was in was really creepy, 2 of my younger brothers slept in part of the attic, on my side was a balcony and late at night I could hear sounds coming from the laundry shed, even though no one was in there, downstairs you could see shadow people walking from the dining room to the kitchen, but no one was there. After about a week, my little brothers started leaving the door separated our room open, they were really scared, and my parents just told them to stop it, there was nothing to be afraid of, that was until one night when my dad saw a woman walking in clothes from the 1800's go from the field next to us into the old laundry shed, he rushed outside but there was no one in the shed or anywhere around our house. Then one day my 3 brothers and I were outside, and mom and dad were in the house talking to mom's friend when he heard screaming from the old laundry shed, but of course no one was in there. We moved a year later.

As a painter/ remodeler of historical homes and buildings in Gettysburg ive had several bizarre experiences in a few homes. Not really a believer in paranormal activity but some things i cant explain, such as the sound of someone gaging and coughing just behind me i figured maybe another worker had come in but as i turned around no one was there. Another example was after completing a home paint job, i stood admiring the one room i made as a sitting room i felt someone standing very close behind me as looking over my shoulder. The feeling i got was unexplainable and i felt almost nauseous but i contained myself and gently asked if they liked what i had done in regards to the home and this room in particular. I did not turn around until i felt this presence leave. I gathered my things and left. Home was built in the late 1800s and know four family members died in this place over the years. I've been to this home alot and have never felt anything bad or evil but upon entry i always say out loud hello everyone, im going to do some work today and make this place beutiful for you all. Now i always feel very peaceful there as i always work alone.

Thanks for Sharing your experiences! My grandmom had an old 18th century farm house in pa and at times you could hear what sounded like muffled conversion of 2 men , the smell of cigar smoke, my grandmom even saw a solid woman dressed in colonial dress as well as a smoke like apparition of a cat, after she passed and her house was sold I for to meet the new owners and I asked them if they had any experiences as they fitted and remolded the house and they said that once they heard someone walking around upstairs when none else was around!

I've heard bits and pieces of the Summerwind story for many years. Yea, yea, I'm ole ;) lol I've never heard it told better than you told it tonight. I enjoyed your storytelling. Your narration is believable. If I remember correctly, they had plans at one time to build it again. From what I remember of the place, they may should leave well enough alone. I often can get a "feel" for a physical place or person, etc. even online. I listen to hella stories and reports on Paranormal. This particular house is one of the few that don't feel right at all. That land is sacred and something wants no one there for a reason.

What an eerie but beautiful place that is! Fires sometimes appear to increase supernatural activity. Even some scientists concede that a major trauma can change the make-up of a property or area. Those huge fireplaces are amazing. In our teens, we delighted in having fires in old fireplaces (we stopped when reminded about birds nesting in chimneys). That complex shows up on Google Maps, wish some new photos. Thank you - a great video.

At a very young age things have happened to me or around me. As early as I could remember seeing, hearing and talking to people that I knew to be there but my family couldn’t see. My parents and grandparents thinking I had imaginary friends. By age 4 I was deathly afraid of the dark and had to have night lights all through the house. I had a lot of accidents in the bed when I was younger because I was so afraid to get out of bed and go to bathroom alone in the middle of the night. It would be sometime before I found out that I have the gift of mediumship, clairvoyance, and am a empath. I also have Wiccan bloodline’s dating back many generations as well as Native American and Canadian Kanuck Indian bloodlines. My grandmother and my mother’s stepfather bought land in New York that had a pond and over 6 years they built a beautiful house and barns we had horses, cows, goats but as a child that house scared me the most. I never truly felt safe even in the daylight hours always as if someone or something was watching or attached to the land. Later in life at the age of 13 I’d find myself living in a home in Owensboro KY. The home had an unfinished basement with this type of room off to the left of the stairs, there was the main floor which had the living room, two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, and upstairs was the attic that was converted into a makeshift bedroom the attic is where me and my twin brother slept which extended the whole length of the home. Towards the back was where there were two closets this part of the room made me very uneasy as well as being in the basement I’d always feel him watching me by him I mean the malevolent spirit of the man who once lived in the home and committed and act so heinous inside of the home. The story goes that a elderly man once owned and lived in the home we rented him being elderly he had a way about him about his yard and his house and wasn’t to found of the neighborhood kids running around in his yard and messing up t up by riding their bikes either. It was also said these children would often make fun of the man as he would yell at them to get off his lawn. Apparently one day a group of boys made there ways home after school as they usually did a few purposely trying to vandalize his yard as a way to be funny as kids do except that the man had enough that he ran down the steps and grabbed one of the boys dragging him into his home. The boys screamed and ran for help but by the time police would arrive the boy would be dead in the basement as the old man was trying to bury the boys body in the basement floor. At night I would see his shadow at the back of the attic, some nights I could feel him stand beside mine and my brothers bunk bed and I could feel his empty eyes pierce through my blanket as I held them firm over my head. And I’ll never forget the one night I woke from a sound sleep at 03:00 am to the sound of someone dragging something of weight down the wooden basement steps. The next morning I would wake and ask everyone in the house if anyone was awake at 3 am or if anyone was dragging laundry bins downstairs to the basement which everyone would say no they weren’t that everyone was sound asleep. I’m 34 yrs old now and as a medium and empath I see things shadow figures that peer out at me from my closet or stand beside my bed it’s a blessing and a curse sometimes the best thing is to stay calm learn to ground yourself meaning think of a happy place or moment in time you were most happy the more you fear the supernatural or the unknown they feed off your energy whether positive or negative stand your ground but please be respectful sometimes ppl don’t know they are actually dead so can be of the darker nature. I’m a firm believer that your soul with be in death as it was in life if you are bad in life you’ll be bad in death. I have hundreds of stories but these are two that have stuck with me the most.

Thank you. The two chimneys/ruins in the video are what's left of Summerwind. There used to be a third chimney and a servants living quarters as well. Everything was burned to the ground.

I rent out a haunted house. Of course I never tell prospective tenants that the place is haunted prior to signing the lease. When people are moving out, I always ask if anything weird happened while they were living there. They always tell me some good stories. So far no one has been upset that I withheld this info from them.

I KNEW it! I said at the beginning it seemed like Indian land. 90 per cent through video it’s now mentioned about Indians. This area seems most unpleasant.

@@StrangeandSinister1 Something is definately wrong. There is a VIBE right through the video of just ickyness. And I get the distinct sense of Indians “watching”. Hard to explain but interesting story.

It's strange how mansions burn down I think electric fault or a candle a storm lighting the only thing I can think of is my great grandad Thomas hardy was laying a reef at his father grave and saw his father who was dead go into the church he followed him and saw him disappear into a mist

Heinous crimes are not uncommon in huge mansions. These mansions are built on huge acres of land. It takes a lot of time to find out. Sometimes outsiders commit crime, owners do not get to know about it . Neighbours cannot keep a watch
